succcessful people start as a patient. build up supply, get 1 or 2 cards/clients/paitents, and they supply them with their patient meds, while they start up their customer meds grow.

lic. is like any state lic, pay your bills, have a clean record and you got the card.

If there is no reason to deny you, you will not be denied. You can register for as many as you want (up to five), but if you get caught growing more plants than you have signed agreements with patients for, you will be in trouble. If you have a patient lined up (i.e. someone who has a dr. certification), sign an agreement with that person and send in a app for caregiver. If you add some in the future it won't take that long plus if you get signed agreements and have receipts for fees sent in you would probably be ok anyway.

do you need to have a patient first, or can you put down 1 patient, pay the 300$, get a patient...send in there information then start growing the medicine? basically I want to get the license, find patients , and start growing it for them.

Yes, you can do it the way you describe. Just don't get caught with more mature plants than you are allowed at a given time.

You don't send the patient information to the state. There is a caregiver designation form, but that stays in the hands of the caregiver.

jujubee is right of course. I totally missed the part where you talked about sending in patient info. I was just talking about how you can buy "slots" before you get the patients if you want.

I think i understand....( sorry for being a pain in the ass just want to do this 100% legit) ... so i can just mail in the 31$ fee for background and 31$ for licence.. then i will get my caregiver licence.. THEN when i find patients... i have them fill out the form with there card/cert info... they keep a copy and i keep a copy, i dont need to send it to the state... but then i send a check to the state for 300$ once i have the patient made out to the treasure of maine, For: Patient, Sound right?

Not quite right. If you do not have a patient yet you can still send in the application with the $300 for caregiver and 30 something for background. Just don't start growing until you have a signed agreement with a patient. Not sure how you came up with $62.

I believe the patient does not pay $31 for a background check. As long as the Patient has approval from his physician, then he just finds a CareGiver such as you and that should be it. So what Tet was saying is it should be a total of $331 to the State o' Maine.

It says 31$ for back ground check....31$ for cultivation licence. So basicly ill send $362.... Find my patient... Now is there actually a form to fill out or do u just make up your own? saying your the caregiver. And u don't have to send any more paperwork to the state right. unless i get another patient I send 300$ right. Do u get like a caregiver card, also can u buy clones from the dispencerys if ur a care giver? Thanks for the help everyone

Ok I just looked at a caregiver application. The $300 is your cultivation license. Plus the $31 for background check. It does mention another fee of $31 for a cultivation employee, but those aren't even being allowed currently. So, $331 for one patient. Future patients will be $300 (only need to do background check once a year).

I only have experience with a couple, never had a problem with either. Last two times were with Attitude. They used to advertise heavily here. I don't know anything about the new sponsors (Sea of Seeds).

Legit according to whom? As far as the state of Maine, and I guess your local authorities, sure. It's still against federal law however. So ordering and receiving seeds is a violation of federal law. Feel better? lol

Seriously though, I haven't heard of anyone having any issues. That's not to say it doesn't happen. But the worst that can happen is that you lose your shipment (it's discovered at the PO or customs or whatever). But places like Attitude, if you opt for stealth shipping, will usually resend the order after a certain amount of time. Stealth shipping includes a souvenir like a mug or t-shirt and costs an extra 10 or 15 bucks. I always use that because I like the souvenirs but haven't had any problems getting my shipment. Pretty quick too.
