caregiver background checks?

You are technically supposed to be a legal caregiver with caregiver license in order to be a medical marijuana caregiver.

Um No. Anyone can be a caregiver and there is NO CAREGIVER LICENSE. Even felons can be caregivers. 1284 APPLIES ONLY TO MMCS. STAY WITHIN AMENDMENT 20 AND YOU WILL BE FINE.

^ thank you cannaguy.

but, i recall the version of 1284 that i read (the one which passed in july) had a paragraph stating that they may require caregivers to get fingerprinted and undergo background checks. and that people w/ recent (5 years) felonies of any kind would not be eligible.

am i wrong on this? did they change that part?

I'm searching for a good current version now.

I would never allow them to do any of this to me and I have not seen that. They are about to try and do it so they can get rid of caregivers. Don't submit to the regulatory scheme. They will do to you what they are doing to MMCs right now. Follow a20 STRICTLY and you will have a leg or two to stand on incase anything happens.

it is my understanding now that felons are allowed to be caregivers. (so they did take that out of the final version).

thanks for the replies and please keep us posted on any changes in this.
