Those are some big ones.

Witness the power of indoor hydroponics.
Thanks guys :) we just got another hood, its a King Cobra Predator 8. It's supposed to be an improved version of the Raptor. Cat is going to install it in the tent this evening at lights on and putting each girl under their own light. So that will be 1K for each plant..holy shit we're going to have some beast ass buds

We got our power bill in yesterday and nearly fell out. Running the AC 24/7 and the hood and the fan along with a desktop computer that uses 4 times the amount of energy plus your regular array of household appliances and lights..

..
$88 :p:hump:

gotta love spring!! no heater, no wasted power

looks sweet folks. even tho the new hood is cool to the touch, i wonder if the strength from a 1000 new bulb may create a hotspot, towards the center, if the plant is within less than 10" from the glass. i saw the thin canoeing leaf in post #134 and it got me wondering. mighty vigorous plants u have there w you DWC. i imagine that the EC level could jump up considerably within just a few days w that water to plant root ratio- they probably drink a lot at this stage. as soon as the water gets low, the nute salts spike i imagine. curious how the EC and PH drifts within this system in the course of a few days.

gonna get real interesting within the next few weeks... nice show!

the highest tips are bending a little under the intensity of the light, but no hot spots. no bleaching either. I'm raising the hood this evening, just been neglecting it for pain reasons. But however, the curling isn't too big a deal; they still have at least four weeks left, i'm thinking more like six, to go. now that the major stretching is done, i think i can set the light about 8'' above the tallest tips and be ok.

the ppms do rise the first couple of days after a res change. about 1680ppm right now, but they get topped off, generally a gallon a day, sometimes more. after a couple of days, the ppms drop significantly, they're eating so much. about 700ppm at res change, and the water is nearly clear.

dwc is awesome, it was the first true hydroponic venture i ever completed. i had three plants in a 25g drum, and got just over 12oz from a 400whps and a 400w metal halide. i did a bunch of dwc, but after getting into it, i prefer tables or tubes, nft e+f or aero. we're looking at getting a 4x8 table for the tent. it's going to get interesting! :)

Thanks Abe! :) they are starting to get frosty too. Just took some more pics, not sure if you can see them but the trichs are coming in, I moved a few fan leaves around and got sticky :) Cat told me not to touch them anymore..lol

I hope I make my buddy proud that sent me the seeds, this is my first time growing in my mind. The times before were just stepping stones. I've learned and done a lot more than I ever dreamed I would, for sure :)

i'm sure the clawing on the three overly ambitious tops will continue, but that's ok. by the time we're done, i'll have pushed them to the max, just shy of killing them. i have five lbs of phosphorus, and five pounds of potassium. should be able to get something similar to a 0-13-26 for a bloom booster. i prefer the 0-9-18, but this should work similarly, just going to have to play with the dosage...

Got the Predator HPS installed so now each lady has her own 1K..gotta see if Sunni will update the thread title :D

You can clearly see they are putting on weight, especially since the last update. Cat's going to up the potassium levels to push them to the max. Hoping for two pounds out of this harvest..fingers crossed!!

On a side note, we raised the lights last night about 12 inches or so to give the girls some head room. We started these from seeds, I'm not sure if they are F2's or 3's but there was a good bit of variation. The left girl is about 2 feet taller than the other, but the smaller one seems to have more compact and frostier buds than the taller.

We took cuttings off the mom's again and it looks like we have roots on a few, those will be going in the veg area under the smaller light we have.

I forgot to add this picture, it's the upgraded Raptor we added last night. We're really excited, now we have two of these beasts pumping out tons of light for our girls :)

The smaller one is the Sun Systems 6 inch compared to the Predator 8 inch
