Can over watering present itself as pale yellowing of the whole leaf in the bottom older larger fan leaves with no droop to any of the leaves?

How can you tell the difference between overwatering yellowing and under nitrgoen/nutrience?

plants been watered 3 times this week and flushed yesterday, given about half strength fish emulsion this week

overwatering and the whole plant will droop but early signs of nitro def are yellowing of the lower bottom leaves and then progressing through out the plant.

yeh but like other plants i have read that overwatering can cause yellowing and dropping of leaves... does this present itself exactly like a nitrogen def how can you tell them apart if the plant is not drooping.......

no overwatering will show as just drooping and then rotting if its really bad but not yellowing. yellowing is because of a nute deficiency of some kind.

are you sure, because i know yellowing leaves is a classic symptom of overwatering in other plants and i have read in a couple of places that overwatering causes yellowing. as does poor drainage and leaves not recieving enough light so the plant sheds them..

are you basing your information solely on what youv read on nitrogen deficiencies?

the watering your talking about is severe over watering. like when people have their plants just sitting in water, that will cause plants to loose o2 in the root system, causing yellowing but even a pot with minimal drainage should drain well enough to avoid that and just cause drooping with over watering. so im assuming your pots do drain so that would take care of that. ease up on the watering twice a week should suffice, but if its not your watering thats the problem then it is the nutes.
