CBD Therapy grow

Hi there, been on this site for years (been absent a few and have made a new account) and decided I'd make a journal with this cbd therapy strain in case there were others interested in it.

So my story is, I suffer from schizophrenia. It has literally destroyed every inch of my life and Doctors, like always, are completely useless in helping me. I Also suffer from a pretty bad stomach inflammation that has been persistent for three years now. I came across some studies about inflammation and CBD and thought I would try it since nothing else has worked on my stomach. I lost over 50 pounds with this chronic gastritis and my diet consists of plain oatmeal, bananas, boiled eggs, and plain boiled chicken breast. It sucks. I am literally in bed all day every day, and am constantly nauseated, dizzy, and fatigued. Going grocery shopping once a week feels like running a marathon. So my last shot at curing it is cannabis.

Problem though with marijuana of course is that thc is psychoactive and that doesn't mix well with an already over active schizophrenic brain. This fuckin sucks cause I love weed. Best thing I ever found on this earth, and best medicine for anything hands down. I miss it every single day. After doing a lot, and I mean A LOT, of research though I found some studies about how a schizophrenic brain will try to heal itself. Studies have shown that a schizophrenic brain will try to reorganize itself in order to combat the disease, and can actually regenerate brain tissue over a period of time. Before this is was believed that schizophrenia permanently damages brain tissue in it's initial stages. This new info gave me hope. At the same time I had been reading about how schizophrenics usually have a dysfunctional endocannabinoid system, and that there was evidence that CBD can help with that cannabinoid dysfunction, and can also help heal the brain. There are also all these claims that high cbd counteracts the negative psychoactive effects of thc all over the place now. So with all this knowledge I thought I'd give it a try and see if I can find any kind of healing.

I ordered CBD Therapy by CBD Crew. It sits at .35% average thc and 8% CBD.
This will be a straight and honest, no bullshit test. And should be a wonderful grow.

It's just too bad that this stuff won't get me stoned. I tell you man, schizophrenia is fucking puke.

Feel free to give me pointers, input, or ask questions or whatever.

Soil grow, pics attach show you what I'm using. Two 5 gallon buckets for planters, with holes drilled in the bottom. Fox Farm grow big and tiger bloom is all I have for nutes at the moment, will probably order more yet.

Therapy 1 is at 11 days, therapy 2 popped today. Was only going to grow the one and then clone her, but figured I'd grow both seeds just in case something went wrong.

I'm not sure if it was a good idea or not to use the black earth. but I mixed it with the triple mix, the potting soil and pearlite. the triple mix has humus, peat moss and compost in it. I also added a bit of composted chicken manure to each pot.

This strain is skunky that's for sure. Even at 11 days this little monkey is stinking up my bedroom. So skunky when you smell her up close too. I have them under a couple cfls now in the closet, waiting on a grow tent to arrive.

The seeds germinated very quickly and came up great with no problems

Really after that long ass write up I got no interest? Lol alright. Maybe everyone isn't as excited for low thc weed as I am haha. Anyways, fimmed her yesterday, so I'll let therapy #2 grow naturally so I can compare. Think i'll lollipop them both though.

Hey, looks good so far. Will check back in on this grow.
I follow the CBD Crew, and would like to see how this turns out.

Been running CBD strains for a while -- heres some notes and such:

Started with Harlequin (CBD 1:1) . This clone only strain has an amazing terpene profile as well as minor cannabinoid profile. One of the best.

Tried CharlotteWeb/R4 but was not too impressed with the medicinal effect (decent when mixed with others though).
Not much worth noting here. It was a good first round CBD rich strain, but the genetics need a lot of work.

Then it was CBD Crew's SharkShock (CBD 1:1) and Sweet N Sour Widow (CBD 2:1).
Both have great CBD-Rich highs. SnS is more of a uplifiting energetic high, SS is a strong/thick body high (very good for relaxing/sleep).
Not the best terps, but still very high quality medicine.

Now It's been Pure Love (CBD 1:1 or 3:1 - 15% cbd / 5% thc), Z7 (near 15% thc / 15% cbd), Spectrum #12 (CBD 16:1 16%/1%).
All of these are very advanced CBD strains genetically; lots of fruity terpenes, peripheral cannabinoids, etc. Good full spectrum highs. Best yet.

For me, the VERY high cbd strains are not too satisfying on their own... but when mixed with a thc strain, or other CBD strains, they combine well.
The cbd when combined with THC (for me) has a synergistic effect and sort of creates a *protective bubble* around THC's psychoactivity while still receiving the good feeling/benefits.

I'm not sure what would work best for you, your strain may very well be perfect.
In general I think the sweetspot for CBD rich is having around a 1:1 / 2:1 / 3:1 CBD to THC ratio. But everyone has their own ratio they like.

Hey thanks for the responses guys. Perip, I was going to go with the shark shock alongside this therapy, but decided to get the royal medic instead. After more research however I found some sites that say the cbd is almost equal to the thc, but a few say that the cbd is 8-10 while thc is 10-14. that's pretty close though, and I would think other 1:1 strains have fluctuations like that too. It should be in that sweet spot you talk about either way.

Update: Fimmed three days ago and she is growing nicely on top, the growth around the cut is purple, seems alright. Transplanted into 1 gallon pots today from a 750ml container. Roots were looking very healthy and had quite a good root system going. Will repot into 5 gallon buckets when they fill up these pots. Not sure how long I want to veg for though. I've seen some nice monsters on here, and I would love to monster her out and have her fill most of my 3x3 tent. Yet at the same time I would like to shave off some time and get myself medicine as soon as I can.

So I was reading about this strain some more, and it seems like it's meant to be an indoor strain. Though now in the summer I bring her outside every time it's sunny. will I run into any trouble here?

Yeah, pretty much all CBD seeds will have fluctuations.. The ratios they list are most likely based on the average of many many tests and are recently becoming more stable. (You could always get an outlier which may not have much CBD, or it could have tons).

If you have access to tested CBD clones, that's what I'd recommend getting. (Cali, Colo, etc)

No issue with bringing plants outside really.. but you could end up with some insects.

No access to clones unfortunately. I'll be cloning these for sure though, no point in spending that much on seeds and not getting your moneys worth. I'm not too worried about insects, it's really nice to put them out in the sun everyday, saves on electricity and I'm sure is a lot better than 400 watts

Update: Day 20 for the older one, the small one is on day 10. Will feed the smaller one her first shot of grow big this evening. Therapy #1 grew like crazy on that stuff. Not sure if I did the fimming wrong or something, my first time trying this. Doesn't seem to have done anything except slow down the growth for a day or two. I don't see any extra tops coming out.

Day 26 update- She's preflowered and looking very nice. Will flower in another ten days or so when therapy #2 preflowers as well. I guess I fimmed wrong because as you can see from the close up picture, normal growth has returned, so I tied her to the bucket today. Don't really want to cut a second time.

Day 31 - Therapy goes down for a 12 hour nap for the first time tonight. Was going to wait until therapy #2 was bigger but I will flower now. Therapy 2 will have to go under some clfs.

This is how big she is now, It's going to be interesting to see how big she is after stretching is done.

Day 20 flower. Lots of buds all over. white hairs. Everything is going good. Plant grows great, beginner's would have no problem. Very stinky though. Delicious thick and healthy skunk smell to her. Yet the skunky smell is gentle and friendly. I'm sure the smell will change soon though. Going to be interesting to see what those buds smell like.
