Ceramic Metal Halide VS DE - Calling all growers

Hello Mates.

So seems after all my research I am set on nanolux DE until I seen alot of controversial on CDM/LEC>

From What I can see there are the 315w and the 860w CDM.

I would love to see some real world results.
Yield is a huge concern here.

I know the CDM have a small footprint vs the DE but the heat is very low I have herd.

Im looking at 4 DE fixtures or the equivilent in CDM if I see any convincing arguments and results.
Plus I know several growers who want some answers so i think this thread would be good.

For reference this would be for Veg and Flower.

Im looking at an 8 x 8 grow space or maybe a 8 x 10 grow space.

Hope this will help myself and other growers who are having a hard time finding out info on CDM.

Would also like to know the penetration as I grow 5-6 foot tall indoor.

There is a guy on YT that's running 315 cmh and a gavita turned down, the cmh looks amazing...I don't know how much would help you out, but his name is John Berfelo if you want to look...

No worries...it's pretty crazy tho bc I too was looking into cmh and you really can't find too much! Hopefully you can get the answers your a looking for! GL

im prsently running a 3 run test over a 4x6 table,, 1st grow with 1k hps 2nd 2 315 watt cdl pluss a 400 watt hps 1030 watts then 3rd 3 315 watt cdls 945 total watts..im just finishing a run were i ran 2 315 watt cdl's over the table and tho i shouldve vegged longer yields will be really good considering its only 630 watts over the table i used to run 2 600 watt hps's over...

so far the 2 315 watt ceramic discharge lamps from boulderlamp.com are each comparable to at least a 400 watt hps if not a 600 watt hps,,plant canopy is 2ft from bulbs coverage is roughly 4ftx4ft at 2 ft from bulb buds are big,, only big diference is plants stretch way less under the cdl's,,under hps my plants tripled height, with cdl they only doubled..

Hmm those seem very interesting...I'm not jacking OPs thread but I just made a thread about upgrading my lights, and looking at that site I may have to add those into comparison too geeze more work now...lol jk thanks! And lol I sware op last post about something other than your topic

rdm has always been a great grower. Good thread for sure with some great results.
Seems for my situation for growing 5-6 foot Hydro trees indoors ill need the DE for penetration.
CDM would be great for my Mother space though.
Would love to see a 1k CDM.
