yep, i've got all the pictures of how i did it too. I'm a member of another forum, and i put it up there. I call it the redneck pot....cost you about $10 to $15 to make. All you need is a plastic trash can, and a drill, and a good knife...makes for one hell of a big pot
Holy shit. What gallon trash can was it? Mixing my shit by the cup the way I do. Would take a month lol. That's alot of soil. It would cost alot using what I use. Have you seen a thread on here in the griw journals guy is using only a square of Rockwool. I think he said 6"×6"×6" and he grew monsters out of it. The roots hit the end of the rockwool and airwick off. Which send a new root the entire inside of the rockwool cube was nothing but roots. But what I'm getting at is you don't need a big pot for a big plant. He's pulling 6-8 zips per plant in a sea of green

can't remember what gallon it is, think right off the top of my head it was a 25gal, my wife looked at me funny when i cut it 2/3 down and started drilling and cutting holes in it. We used it this year for squash to see how it would work, and it did fairly good, wife was impressed, still got to fill it more with my soil mix, but its getting there. Think this season i'm gonna try it wish a plant to see what happens. Keep my fingers crossed with that light contest, it would work perfectly with it...

Everyone else is using your thread as a collage, so I figured what the hell!
Nirvana mystery seed being mainlined, with a group shot of the 3 topped mysteries in the front.
I already pinched off the 2 new tops growth, so 4 new ones should be branching out soon .
Your 16 top plant is gorgeous by the way.

When you top it stops the auxin growth of the main stem as nodes are formed on the main stem as 2 new auxin stems form

so if you top your one main top, itll produce 2 new tops. Let her grow a few days or more then top those 2 new tops To gain 4 new tops.
Beware that it does stress and stunt growth. So make sure to give extra veg time as needed
Only advised topping on photoperiod genetics and not autos

Ok yea the tie down is that just to open up for more light and room or just a form of stress management i think im gonna try that out lol

I tie mine down to help form a steady stem structure & for the tops to be even and get maximum light. Grow lights can only penetrate so far down your plant bud sites. Why have some large nugs with lil larf buds when they alll can be big buds. Its all about controlling your canopy to maximize your yeild. Atleast thats my goal as a grower.

I didn't mean anything bad by this being a collage, or else I wouldn't be following the thread or posting my own pics, lol. It's all good man. I like the mini community going on in here.

Topping the plant, as already explained by Rolla. To me, it's the funnest part of the growing phase and really the only reason I like growing from seed(harder to top and maintain an alternating node clone).

I'm debating topping this big bitch yet or hold off a few more days.

Looks like some good shit!
My last "retard" plant was a 3 node runt tangie from seed. The 1.5 grams it produced was kill. It literally didn't grow once I topped it lol.
Have you tried drying the bud with more sugar leaves still attached? I heard it helps aroma and led hay taste.

Lol, that's how I trimmed the hell out of my last harvest too, just bored and felt like clipping. I'm going to try and leave a fair share of the sugar leaves on my next crop to see how that goes, since I've always snipped mine to nubs. Which light is your new light?
