CFL in humidity dome?

Hey guys, so this is my first real solo growing, so i have some dumb questions. If I have a humidity container (aprox 12"x12"x24"). I was going to germ some seeds in there, using one or two CFL;s (says "23w=100w"). Now there are two holes that you can open and close to change the humidity, and i was wondering if it would be a good idea to drop the cfl into the chamber, as it drops down about halfway, which would only leave a couple inches between the light and the rockwool. Not a good idea, or what? I am trying to use cfl's instead of my 400w to save e-. It also is the easiest place to attach the lights, by dropping them inside. Thanks guys.

the alternative would be to put two lights just above the dome, but then it would have to be like 2-3 inches from the dome due to heat, and then it's like over a foot away from the plant, and they're only small CFL's, so i'm a little confused as to what is the best method.
