Grow Box: Garage Cadet "Gladiator" brand - very dope, perfect size for CFL grow for 2-3 plants

Soil: Thunderhead Soil - Identical to Fox Farm Ocean Forest

Nutes: Rabbit Hill Farms Big Buds & Blooms - Almost identical to Fox Farms Big Bloom

Water: Distilled H2O

Lights: 6xCFL (6 of each 6500K and 2700K, will change @ flowering time)

Light Bar: Power Strip with Socket Adapters and Y-splitters; Zip ties to keep the sockets from falling out

Light Hood: Oven baking pan (slightly larger than light bar) with cutout for sockets

Light Hoist: Chain hanging from 8" magnetic bar stuck to top - full motion: 360' rotatable and FBSS for precise placement over plants

Seeds: Bag seeds for now, saving my Club Seeds until I've succeeded once or twice :)

Week 1:

Garage Caddy... or makeshift Grow room (the cabinet on the left side)? You decide! (plz ignore the fiberglass subwoofer box project on top.. :))

We're approaching the end of week 1 for my CFL grow. I checked on sprout #3 this afternoon and it looks like it is dying, just like #2 did two days ago (it died yesterday). So I plucked it and sure enough the roots are not growing, and in fact it looks curled up. I wonder if I misplanted the sprout (root tip heading up vs. down) or if it was the excess soil moisture - I dunno... But it's a goner for sure at this point. So far I've basically lost 2 out of 3 sprouts but #1 is doing great!

Got a new #2 seed in water now, will plop it in pot #2 when it sprouts..

As for plant #1 (top one in above photo), she is doing well. This morning I noticed it's 2nd set of leaves, and this afternoon already I can see a 3rd set forming between the 2nd set which hasn't even opened up yet.. It's been under light for about 5 days now.. :) :) :)

Holding off on any new water for another 24 hours to be sure I'm not overwatering them (my suspicion on why #2 and #3 died).

Day 14

So far to date I've lost 3 seedlings. 2 never really grew roots and 1 is lost at soil.. :-(

But "Lefty" as I'm beginning to call her, is doing great. Check her out - This is exactly 2 weeks into 24/0 lighting, with hardly any nutrients (a little big buds/flowers - see above) and some minor watering (missed a few days as I was out of town but came home to this)..

and your's at 18days look like my pals did @ 6.... i duno why every1 uses all these speciality stuff dont seem to do nuthing but turn leaves yellow and stump grow lol he has 1 x 250w cfkl bulb for 8plants and there loving the light and look huge and thats a 250 w which he keeps about an inch -two inche's away they all between 6-8 inch's tall @ 2weeks now ..very very bushy loads of new growth ...and they will stay pretty short anyway coz there ww..i think keeping it simple seems to help alot when there so young.. he uses no nute's till there older so many people just chuck nutes and shit in whenever ... and from what ive seen also 18-6 seems to work better for cfl's just my opinion
