Haha the cookies are awesome! I have four of them yesterday.. was gone from noon.. till this morning. The girls are doing good. I've been pretty busy with finals, i hope to get some pics up today from the last KC36 i harvested.

I don't trim the fan leaves until they are dead. They fall off for me from lack of nutrients I think, so I'm working on getting that sorted out.

I think I might be going to a hydro bucket with a mini HPS in my closet here soon. It I can get all the supplies for a decent price that would be sick!

I've been trimming my fan leaves under my canopy to allow light to the liddle biddy nugs that aren't quite high enough. I do it no more than once a week and only a few per plant at a time as it can stunt growth if you take too much. They call this technique lollipopping. It's supposed to send more energy to the canopy where it's needed.
It's a must for me cos of my lack of space, but if you have the stretch space though, you shouldn't really trim any.

As they move into the swelling phase of flowering, a lot of fan leaves will die off anyway as their energys are transferred into the buds.

In your case, trout. I would leave them be as your ladies are near finishing. Unless you're having space/lighting issues :)

no mate nothing of the sort, i just noticed they were missing and thought maybe they'd been trimmed for light/space reasons. thought i'd ask....

oh and i'm trying to sort my soil out rather then using nutes next time..... found it very easy to burn them

that sounds like a solid plan. I think for me, hydro is good because i go away some weekends and having soil is making it tough to leave and not have to worry about my girls. We will see though, maybe i will just use bigger pots with a mini HPS. Decisions Decision =)

Also with a bigger pot, i think my girls would not loose their leaves so soon.. I dont think a 4 inch pot can support my plants.

Yeah I know, just offering my 2 cents worth on the subject :)

I agree, 4" pots are tiny for mature plants... I'm using 6" (I think) but I'm moving up to 6L pots for the next grow, using 4" pots as intermediate mid staged pots.

i'm using the same (hydro shop) light mix soil i used first time round, + the usual 40% is perlite LOL ... but this time i've bulked it out with some excess seeding soil (light mix again) and i intend to track down the elusive worm castings i can't seem to find and add a healthy hand full or three to the mix also .....

Hydro gives me the shivvers ... purly because it seems to amplify little mistakes... i really wanted to go aeroponic this time round but i won't be able to run it without making a pigs arse of it ... so now i'm kinda toying with the idea of soil in builders buckets... but only if they fit in the cab :-) lol

Much love bro! I think 6" might even be way to small. 6L like a boss!

I haven't looked into it much, but aeroponic might be a good way to go also. thanks!

oh for sure bro! hps is excellent for flower. Plus a decent amount of CFLS, you're gonna be golden.

Yeah for the most part it goes toward making butter. Take a break? or dry?
