Cfl Lighting Question

Hey everyone im new to this site, and preparing for my first grow. I have 4 19watt cfl's which i guess are equal to a regular 75watt incandecent each. My question is would this be enough light to veg 4 plants in a drip system or do you think i should go out and purchase the 23 watt lamps that are equal to 150watt regular incandecents each. For flowering i have a 600watt hps so im gtg there and i will be using a bubble ponics system and i built my own grow tent, but mainly concerned with my veg room atm so any help from you vets would be great.

Thanks

I veg under cfls at 6500k. Currently about 300 watts worth and put them close. They'll produce short bushy plants. I understand hps will cause some stretching due to the spectrum but I cannot back that up with experience.

The plant on the left was 4 weeks old

Wow those are some nice plants constant, i appreciate the feedback. I think im definetly sold on the cfl's for vegging :)

thanks. That was one of the smaller ones that I didn't have room for in the flower room and held back in the event of males. At one point I was concerned due to the lack of stretching. I thought I was growing cabbages they were so stocky. Cfls are good for veging, they have disgusted me with flowering.

Good luck with your grow!
