cheap ballasts .

anybody use the cheap ballasts . like a brand called thunder or i power or apollo . ? looking to pick up a few 1000 watt ballasts to help a friend out shes tight on cash . these ballast are about 95 bucks or so wonder if its throwing cash away ? thanks for your opinion . i only have experience with those old magnetic heavy monsters by hydro garden . currently run all solis tek .

I have a thunder 600w ballast that's been running my bloom room for almost 3 yrs now with no issues. Ipower and Apollo are junk but I've used them; sold my old 400w ipower to my grow buddy & it's still in use. Thunder brand ballasts come are warranteed for 1 year I think; I'd opt for those

Look at Lumepower. Good ballasts, low RFI, great price

vivosun .1000 watts 80 bucks 2 year warranty . anybody use these ? thunder 1000 ballast is about 125 shipped bonus 5 year warranty . sounds like they last . i dont want to throw in a ballast and come back days later see it blew up caught on fire ! lol . but this could happen to any brand but more then likely a super china pos . i shall compare the thunder to a few other brands .

any issue with the tv . cell phones ? i had a lumiteck could not use the phone .

Nope not at all...oh yeah that's right thunder has a 5 yr warrantee. That's what steered me towards the thunder ballasts; I had some bad luck when I started out with crappy ballasts so I understand your concern. Haven't had any interference issues but then again it's running in my basement where there's no tvs or phones

lol trust me if there were interference you would know it . i used to have to walk all the way down the street to even use my phone it was at least 50 yards away before you could get a signal . thanks for the reply . i am currently shopping for the lowest price on these .
