cheap jars

ikea

Well, despite my user-name, I don't shop there too often (second hand ikea furniture is just dirt cheap round these parts), but the other day I did stop by the store and found these excellent jars (id: SAGOLIK) on sale, apparently they're being phased out. Haven't stored any smoke in them yet, but they look good, the glass one has a double seal, the enamel one has a thicker single seal, I guess both should hold the flavour.

@mike,

my reason posting this is that these were less than $3 :), but I don't know if that is the case across the pond (the sale was in store, online prices are double).

but i do agree that normal mason jars do the job atleast as well, the look of these is just pleasing to me.

@def,

wish we had the likes of k-mart/homedepo, the stores here tend to have smaller selections which leaves one going from one store to the other.

@gloomy,

lol, enjoy your nap. also i think CA has more ikea stores than any other state.

i always thought bags worked just fine. i never have like 3 ounces of bud on me anyway, and i cant really just leave my bud out, so a bag works like a charmmm

kroger has 32 oz mason jars with lids 12 in a case for $9.99
$8.99 at the Kroger here. And they have the 1/2 Gallon Mason jars (which I absolutely LOVE because they allow me to keep more of my bigger buds intact!) for $8.99 / 6 jars with lids.
But for the price, those Ikea jars would be nice!

If you have a Big Lots, check them. I got some really cheap HEAVY DUTY jars for a few bucks and they are large. One I fit about 4 oz in.

I am under the impression that bags have static electricity which hopelessly binds trichomes to the inside of the bag. Besides, plastic is made from petroleum, yuck!

At my local Co-op grocery the bulk section is filled with glass jars you can reuse for stuff you buy. I am always picking out brown glass and round bubble types and I have a huge cupboard full of sweet curing jars for free :)

i dont mind what its made of, but i totally agree on trichome heads clinging to the plastic, which is mainly why i chose the glass for my curing (at least this time). They were 2 dollars a piece at the local 'Dollar Spree'. according to the label they fit 30.44 oz (not sure how accurate the label was though). i left the ramen on top to give an idea of size. they seem to be airtight, at least 90% airtight, and thats good enough for me for my first go. a case of mason jars around these parts runs around 12 bucks and thats just 12 bucks i dont have yet. getting these means i get to not buy those mason jars til iam truly ready for them (BF Tek, here i come!). anyways, hers a pic of em, planning on going into a dark cool cupboard so iam not concerned with them being clear.
-edit- the other bonus, is i only do 3 plants at a time, and since iam not going to be anywhere near even a 1/2g per watt (using a t5ho setup) iam thinking it should be damn near perfect for one plant to one jar =D
