Cheap light leaking tent? Here's an easy fix!

So I started back on my grow journey about a month ago. I guess seeing the prices on some of these Chinese LEDS, holding good Meanwell ballast and Samsung diodes and such, really got me digging in again! So, I went ahead and ordered a cheap iPower 2x4x5ft tent to start back up, ran all the ducting to a "winter" window (aka cold a%$ air!) in my mud room and then purchased about 500w of Chinese LEDS on wholesale - in which I threw the best 300w inside of it to grow with. After some minor mods here and there, everything is going great w/ temps, plants are flowing, clones are rooting and im outgrowing my space.

THAT SAID! Lol... I have a 5x5x7ft tent in route w/ a matching 350w CMH to pair with it and ALL the other little goodies! This is a true addiction.......

If you're like me and are working on a budget (especially in the beginning) and your cheaply made tent looks like a star exhibit, at your local planetarium. Then I have a cheap, permanent solution! I had some JB Weld Steel Stick lying around, from another project. I decided to try to patch the tiny holes using it and BOY DOES IT WORK PERFECT! Now, it's not the prettiest thing in the world (as it dries grey) and it's not going to help the leaky zippers and velcro. But it does do the job and you can color it with a permanent marker or something, to hide MY creativity. Ha! Jk...

I use just the tiniest ball, about half the size of a BB for a BB Gun. I push it onto the hole and spread in any direction. It sticks beautifully, spreads perfectly flat and absolutely will NOT come off once cured/dried. So forewarning: if you do do this, know its not going anywhere. Just thought I would try to help someone that may be going through the same situation. Light pollution is a real thing, especially during flower!!!

Happy growing!

Ah, I know what it's like... I have two cats and the chamber's visqueen cover is completely punctured by the cats' claws... But I use electrical tape and everything is fine!
