Cheap soil stays soggy... How do I increse aeration??

coco, perlite, straw, manure, compost, forest duff, sphagnum moss. These will all increase aeration.

water your plants in trays. Put the water in the tray and the plant will take it up as needed. And mix in some perlite next time

Best way is definitely going to be perlite, just mix some with your soil and it will have much better drainage, and aeration.

I mix in Hydroton or perilite and it works GREAT i even put pure perilite or hydroton then last inch of pots and use a window screen to cover the pot holes so it doesnt spill out.25% perilite or hydroton and 75% soil

Benefits it gives are great such as better oxygen for roots(aeration) and way better drainage .when clones are 1-3 sometimes 4 weeks old my soil dries up within a week,and after the plant is big especially in flower i got to water 2x sometimes 3x a week i start in party cups then 1 gal then to 5 gal buckets

them cheap soils dont have trichoderma in em either chek for mossy mold shit on the underside of the pots iv seen that pirrana by advanced nutients get rid of that but its dear, alot dearer then buying half decent soil/coco
