I spent $16 plus a $22 360 gph pump for this setup and it has taken off,
This is one week into setting my clones in the setup.
I have my nutes at 600 ppm and the ph @ 6.5
Clones went one week in a propagation tent @ 85 degrees & sprayed twice a day for three days and once a day for the rest, and then a half day outside before setting them in this.

sure could use some advice on where to take it to now.
1. Can they handle a higher ppm/ec?
2. Should my ph be lowered?
3. Have the pump running 24/7

ONE WEEK UPDATE; i HAVE HAD THESE IN THE 3" POTS FOR TWO WEEKS SINCE PULLING THEM OUT OF THE CLONING PROP. TENT AND THIS SET OF PICTURES IS ONE WEEK AFTER THE FIRST PICTURE POST (ABOVE).
I BUMPED THE PPM UP TO 1000 AND THE PH IS AT 6.0 AND THESE BABIES ARE GETTING BIG WAY FAST.

1. DO I KEEP THESE IN THE SAME POTS?

2. WILL THE ROOTS NEED TO BE CUT AT ANY POINT (BEFORE FLOWERING)?

3. CUTTING ROOTS AT ANY POINT?

4. WHY WOULDNT EVERYBODY GROW THIS WAY IT'S SO EASY AND TOTALLY MAINTENANCE FREE?

5. CAN THIS WHOLE SET-UP FLOWER THIS WAY WITH JUST THE CHANGE OF LIGHT FROM FLOURO TO HPS 400 WATT 12/12 AND BLOOMING NUTES?

THANK'S FOR ANY HELP IN ADVANCE.

Hey herb.I told you aero is awesome lol.Yes keep them in the 3 inch net pot all the way through. No dont cut the roots they get big and healthy eventually they may get little tangled in the enclosure.Id just maybe once a day just lift the lid to make sure they dont grab the piping that way you know youll be able to open it whenever you need.I have no idea why people get scared of aero. Its dirt cheap to use easy as can be and as your seeing grows reaalllllll fast lol.You can grow all the way through with this setup.Since it will be cramped just dont veg to long if they get to about 8 inches tall you can go 12 and have 2 foot plants by times end.Veg will probably only be a week or 2.Sure does save time doesnt it .Ill keep watching my prodigy showing the world how easy and fun aero grows are.Keep it going

One or two quick questions, what did you use to connect the tube from the pump to the pvc? What sprayers did you use and whats your timing cycle for the pump? Thanks.

The pump to PVC is easy I just used the 1/2 " tubing and walked into the pvc isle at Home Depot and found a fitting that looked like this one in the pic which then fits into the tee. mine is not even glued in it fits tight enough that i can just push it into place the small line is an air line for the water.

the sprayers i got online for $1 a piece at Hydroponics gardening equipment hydroponics systems, grow lights and hydroponic nutrients at 4 Hydroponics.com by Growco Indoor Gardening Supply in Grand Rapids, Michigan pump are cheap too.but the sprayers you just drill a hole and screw them in the rest of the way.

timing i leave on 24/7 all day and night unless I'm checking water levels and i also would have set my riser a little lower if i were to do it over it can spray out too high and come out of the container at times. so if the pvc pipe that comes up i would only come up about half way. thats plenty high enough.
Any more stuff ask Filthy he's shown me the light and I'm using it to grow my bud. HA! Thanks Filthy Fletch This is the only way for me.

Looks real good herb.Im getting closer on my big aero grow but got slowed down when I fell into the molasses craze against my better knowledge of aero I added it and it did what I thought fouled the whole setup and almost lost them all.look like 1 or 2 will not make the full cycle so they will become sample plants as they slowly die lol

that sucks on the plants that didnt make it, I want to see some pics on the new tub Okay? and i had a few folks tell me to look at the sacks on the leqaves to see if they are clear or cloudy for a maturity indicator. sound right to you?

i dont have any experience with aero quite yet, but isnt it a good idea to put a air stone in the water too? to get lotsa oxygen in the water when the roots start growing down into the water filled half of the tank, and where u get your pump? i cant find a 300+gph pump for under 40$ unless im lookin on ebay

I picked up my pump online at a Harborfreight.com site forgot the exact name but the company is harbor freight tools and i paid $14.99 for the pump on sale and off sale $24 the air stone is a must and i did say that in the thread you just cant see it in the pictures pump was $9 anywhere and if you can find it on Ebay get it there nothing wrong with that.

This looks awesome! Could you list everything that is needed to create this setup? I have no idea about aero but, is the pump continuously on? One sprayer for each plant with them pointing to the root system? Keep the container half full with water? Awesome

One ten gallon container with lid kmart $6
one length of 1/2 " pvc pipe with one T and 6 90 degree elbows and two endcaps all 1/2 "
6 inches of 1/2 " hose 20 cents one pump 250gph to 300 gph $14 - $25
6 3" grow baskets or use those party cups(plastic and burn a bunch of hole all over it with a soldering iron. 50 cents a peice
pump stays on 24/7 except when im changing or adding nutes, oh yeah nutes im using dyna-grow and a ppm meter is a must because i start out at 600ppm and each week go up til im at 1400ppm 5,8 - 6.2 on the ph and your golden.
I'm using flourescent lights for flowering one warm white and one cool white in the 2 fixture setup from home depot $8 plus lights another $7 times two because i have two sets of lights and flower with a 400 watt hps light. start your flowering after about three weeks if you start with a clone and unsure from the seed because i use clones from my mother plant.
water has to just cover the pump and i also have an $99 air pump with air stone on it$9
sprayers are located to the inside of the baskets about one inch below the bottom of the baskets they spray at an angle upward
one sprayer per basket $1 a piece
Im at week four and forced to start flowering in the flouros because my other plants havent finished budding but im close , real close last picture
