checking trichs

Ok I'm 6 weeks into flowering my strain is top44 and Im almost ready to harvest. I was just wondering when you check the trichs should there be any clear ones or not cuz mine has about 50%cloudy 40%amber and 10%clear and Im not sure if I should give it a few days or just be done

i would say it is just about done... sounds great.. sometimes no matter how long you wait, some of the trics will not turn and will remain clear.. with that many already cloudy and amber, i would say mayb a couple of more days at the most, just to see if any of the clears are gonna change for you, otherwise i would say it is damn near ready now..

I think I read somewhere that if you turn off the lights for 2 days it will kind of make the trichs change faster is that so or did I misinterpret what I had read.

Some people put the plants in total darkness for 24 or more hours just before harvest. I've tried it myself and the trichs did turn a little faster. Don't know if it made the stuff better or not.

what woudl happen if you turned the lights off for 24 hrs, but then went back to 12/12 ?

Increasing the dark hours will speed up maturation. 14-16 hours dark instead of 12, never tried it though. It works on many other plants however.

As from swithching from 24hour dark back to 12/12? not sure, if the plants would like that.

Depends on what your looking for in a result. Did you frig up during flowering lite cycle, or do you want to stress the plant out before harvest to "possibly" produce more resin? If you frigged up, it won't be so bad, maybe it stunts growth a bit, or may not do anything at all. If you do it during harvest, I'm not sure if it works or not.

No I didn't mess up. I think its just that most of my popcorn nugs aren't really amber yet. My upper colas are about half and half and was just wondering if it might help them change a bit faster cuz I really didnt want to do multiple harvest on this grow. I have 3 veggin now that can be ready to flower so quantity isn't an issue it's quality. I just wanna make sure that doing so won't really screw with the condition of my buds.
