Seems like it's been 3-4 weeks with the pic problems.

I added three ducks to the mix and getting three eggs a day. I'm in CA. They are bigger than the chicken eggs and taste pretty damn close. I feed them laying pellets like I do the chickens. Of course the occasional strawberry tops or cut up veggies always make them happy.
So the ducks are housed with the chickens? I wanted to get some ducks but didn't really want to build another pen.

Yeah the silkies stay pretty fuzzy all over and have a crazy hair do. Never owned them as chicks so i don't know if the wild hair shows as babies or not.

Here's the store bought coop. It was on clearance . lol. I figured it would work for a couple bantams . the only problem it's little and low to the ground. Perfect size for my boy to get in..lol. View attachment 3896764
What did you have to give for that coup? Thinking I will be adding chickens come spring and have been looking at those. What I've seen is kinda pricey. At least there seems to be a good amount of knowledge to lean on, lol.

I got It at tractor supply. It was on clearance for 120$ out the door. Its 6' long by 3' wide and about 4' tall.. It says it's for six adult chickens but I'm using it for the bannies

Thank ya! Good to know.. I'm using cedar chips on the floor and straw in their boxes but probably will all be straw the next cleaning. I'm heating with one inferred bulb. It gets -30°f for a week or two in February. What would be a good/safe heat source during late winter. ?
I believe cedar chips are a no-no around chickens.
