i quit smoking a long time ago. i carried a pinchy box and every time i wanted a cigarette i'd smoke a pinchy instead. once i got off it, the smell was enough to keep me from going back. cigarettes reek like sick skunk shit.
What's a pinchy? A small joint? A one hitter?

My folks unknowingly made me immune to the temptations of cigarettes by smoking both around me when I was a child. I loved the smell of weed and hated the odor of tobacco. The rest is history!

A lot of my friends have struggled with quitting tobacco. All I can suggest is to step down slowly and always resist the urge to step back up again.
Cold turkey has worked for me.

I quit smoking over four years ago and quit dipping a couple weeks ago.

I take that back. I went cold turkey on cigs but have used some gum to quit dipping.

Whatever it takes. That shit is nasty. I've had one or two cigarettes and cigars and I never understood the attraction. Weed makes me feel better! Tobacco doesn't.

Keep up the good fight.

Oh don't get me wrong

I quit smoking with the use of modern drugs? Zyban from the UK is one

it was not hard or easy but you needed to be dedicated

then 6 months later i was over 100Kgs/220lbs?

I never ever been so fat ...and freaked, went on a diet

that was hard, and went onto smoke thru the diet (self comfort?)

I'm almost down to normal weight ..now

and get that Zyban back

so fat was a real bummer, headaches, blood pressure etc all 2 fuck

my doctor said here take these tablets as he looks thru the new BMW sales leaflet

it really caught me out and fucked me up

I still looking for that 'sport' that an old stony can do and like with eaze

ballroom dancing was my sport as a kid and the sex afterward was often a great workout

disc (frisbee) golf is fun, if there's a course anywhere near you, and its usually free, just have to spend 30 to 60 bucks for 2 or 3 frisbees.
throwing darts is fun too, but not very athletic, and usually too close to a source of alcohol to be considered good for you.
bowling seems to be somewhere in between, if you use a heavy ball and throw at the pins a couple of lanes away, you can get a pretty good workout.

My wife knows that I can stop smoking cannabis but has endured my trying to quit tobacco and would rather deal with me sans tobacco but with my medicine than the other way around lol.
I quit tobacco by going from cigarettes, to rolling spliffs, then to rolling one spliff, then to rolling one every few days, etc. Eventually I was just rolling joints. Now I've got my tobacco use under control and still enjoy a spliff from time to time, but I definitely feel that urge to smoke a ciggie now an again. Never gonna quit drinking, and never gonna quit weed, because if I do chances are I'll be back on the opiates. Sober starts to mean something else once you've been around the substance block a couple times.

Look into Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. You can ease into that as you become addicted. It's like chess with your body.

This: this is the circle I often catch myself in

I quit cigs, then later have a spliff (tobacco and weed cigarette) then the pangs return

there was a extended medical paper on the effects of spliff smokers compared to just cig and weed tokers

with very different wired brains, but lost it ...still searching

but I say I'm glad to quit the booze, and sip ginger ale at fucntions

cheers

I quit cigerattes over four years ago like I said but I still enjoy a good cigar every once in a while.

Had a Sgt in the military that was in that cigar of the month club. He would invite me out on rare days off and we would drink beer and smoke stogies. Fond memories I guess.
