Chuck Reg Pollen on an Auto?

They say there are no stupid questions. So here goes....What do I get if I take pollen from a Regular Male and hit an AutoFlower female? I'm not an Auto grower, but I probably have 15-20 strains of Auto seeds I've collected. I normally grow Regulars as my interest is in breeding and also in selection of a few incredible females for clones. I think it is a shame to waste all these autos and let them sit in the vault, but I've never been quite clear on what the outcome would be if they were bred. Anybody with experience feel free to enlighten me.

You're introducing instability into genes you will need breed a few generations to insure stability of keeping the auto flowering traits.

I think I'd rather eliminate the Auto flowering traits, but I'm afraid of carrying on the Auto genetics into my reg lines.
