Day 17 update!

The girls are looking great. Recovering well from what I suspect was a calmag issue. They're loving the GO nutrients and their new homes.

#1 is really starting to develop well, I'll top soon to keep her in line with the others.

#2 sittin pretty.

#3 coming along nicely.

#5, more in line with 2 & 3 now.

Humidity was getting way too high during lights out after watering, and temps too high during the day. I picked up a 4" inline booster fan that I put between the exhaust elbow and the filter. Temps are much better so far, and it will run constantly to (hopefully) keep humidity down.

u have pretty good height, how many liters in pot ? use scrog and lst method, for more budz
Right now, 1 gallon pots, so about 3.8 liters. They're going into 3 gallon pots tomorrow though. I've already got roots poking out the bottom! I'll top the sativa and only LST the indicas so they can catch up a bit. Then they're all going under a SCROG for sure.

Day 20:

I need to transplant tomorrow, roots comin out all over now. I'll top #1 at the same time cause shes a big gal. Gained an inch since yesterday. #5 seems to be lagging a bit now, not sure if it'a a nutrient issue, or the bugs. I've definitely got thrips, and probably fungus gnats too. Fuuuuucckk. Gonna give the Method 1 a go, seems like a good choice. A week, maybe two, more in veg then I'm flippin these bitches and it's SCROG time.

Day 21: Transplant day again!

This time to 3 gallon Geo Pots, $2 a pop is hard to beat. The girls were a little grumpy about the move, but they got a light feeding of the GO nutes and after a few hours they seem to be perking up a bit. It's a little crowded in here right now, we're definitely at max capacity. I just couldn't give up another one before I know sex.

I topped #1 right above the 5th node. I'll probably start LST tomorrow, couldn't find the ties tonight.

I also ditched the rope-ratchets and used the carabiners to tuck the light a little closer to the ceiling. I probably gained 2" or so.

Gonna build a frame for the SCROG net in the next few days. Just waiting for signs of sex at this point, ideally two girls out of the bunch, but I'll work with what I get.

the little dots look like burn marks. Maybe I was just a bit careless
Yes it was the solder. I blew up the photo and there is a little spot with solder still stuck to the phosphor. Not a big deal. I've done a lot worse. I have some Luxeon and I've picked large splashes of solder and the phosphor was not burned. Using a microscope, I picked the solder off and it looked fine. No burns.

All 4 ladies got a fresh haircut, and some direction in their lives.

Looking fresh ladies!

SCROG net goes in tomorrow.

Looking so very green! Great work!

How long you gonna veg?
Thanks! Probably another 5 days or so, I think. I'm just starting to get the tiniest signs of sex, but my noob ass isn't comfortable making the call quite yet. Ideally, I want them to sex before they hit the net then I'll flip and start weaving em in.

Day 26:
Fuk. Sad day in the garden. #1 started showing clear signs of sex, and I got some big fat nuts.

Alas, good news is two of the others are showing female, and the last is still a little shy.

Pretty much sums up my night.

Coming along.

And then there were three...

Day 30:

Making progress. But...

Fuck. More boy parts. #2 started out looking female, but ended up popping a bunch of these nutbags.

However...

#3 finally popped some pistils!

#5 still hasn't confirmed, but I'm not seeing any male looking pre-flowers so I'm pretty confident I've got two ladies. Perfect. The extra space gave me the opportunity to up-pot to 5 gal. Geo Pots.

Note to self: wait til after final transplant to put in SCROG net... :wall:

Day 31:

Recovering well from the transplant, but looking a little crowded again. All the essentials and some quality time with the ladies.

Not too much, just thinned em out a bit.

Recovering well from my fuck-ups.

Maybe a week or so and it's time to flip!

I went a little heavy on nutrients last feeding and it looks like I got a little nitrogen toxicity. The girls were getting a little dark, and some tips are curling.

After a few days and straight water, they seem to be little happier and greener.

FYI for anyone using a Vivosun carbon filter;
There seems to be some kind of baffling inside the filter to prevent backdraft. I was running mine blowing through it outside the cab, and really struggling with temps and humidity. With the booster fan running I was getting no airflow out the filter. I could feel it all just blowing back out through the fan. Just for shits I took it off and flipped the little booster fan around so it was pulling through, and it was like there was no resistance at all. I pulled the filter off for now, but I'll have to change up my layout to run the filter inside the cab.
