clone only strains

i keep hearing about them can someone put some names up so i can look into it a bit further be interesting to see how many clone only strains there are, whats wrong with forced hermey's then breeding multiple batches till you find a stable one? why is there any clone only strains
just intrigued me im very stoned lol got some lovely cherry pheno ak47 in my spliff and its makin my whole body tingle

Clone only plants are not nessesarily strains, they are in most cases specific phenos of strains and crosses that are selected for specific triats. If you were to hermie and cross the same "clone only" plant you wont nessesarly get the same pheno as the orignal.

If for example I were to cross 2 strains and planted 500 seeds they wont all be the exact same plant when they grow out. There is also that chance that one of these crosses is much much better than the rest. This plant would then be regenerated then clones taken and a mother plant kept hence creating the clone only strain. Calling it a Strain however can be confuzing.
