i wait till the plant shows in veg, then choose the best two and use them as moms, if theres any females left i flower them

Some say in the 4th to 5th week of veg, but for sure you will see it in the first 5 - 7 days of flowering.

You want to avoid flowering any potential mother plant. It can take months to get it back to a proper veg state and the yield will be smaller next time around. What you might do is clone a branch from each plant. Once the clones root you can flower the parent plants. If you have any females then you can keep that line going with you clone. By the time you harvest the clone will have made many more clones. Key is to keep it in a veg state.

when you clone take three clones of each(making sure 2 survive cloning) labeling them.grow them in the medium of your choice till the 5th set of true leaves appear.pick your best and save under veg lights,take the other and force flower.this tells you wether the plant is female or male and leaves you either a mother plant or a plant to produce bud with.discard males in flower and its counterpart!!!when you clone do you take cuttings from each plant and label them for possible females, or do you force flowering and revert back to vegative growth to clone from>
