Clones

You won't get them from Genotype.

after all these years of nevr having mites in my garden...the difference between my mite free forever garden and the one that is riddled with mites........is those mites came from clones. clones that one grower figured were not infected. I dont like mites, they come from clones, I'll pass of course.

I've had russets once, and they came from a clone outside of my circle. Nobodys gonna be honest with you and say, "ya they have bugs", or "I dont know I dont pay attention". I lost a good momma and had to shut my room down for months to wipe em out.
Plant a seed.

Hmm Russets and broadmites and spider mites can come in the soil or medium you use like coco. Theory is, you do not know the standard the mills are kept in where they produce our mediums and package them.

I had russets that way before.

On my 275th bale of promix, three different stores, final one keeps its bales outside on pallets.
never seen a pest in those bales, I'd stick with promix for sure.bongsmilie

I had a mite problem. I had no outside plants or brought in any clones all from seed run.

at first thought I had a nutrient problem until I went under the scope.

Then started researching more and found out lots of pest can come inside of bales.

I use to use promix, but prefer coco.

bugs come from medium, other plants (like clones) they can carry on your clothes, come in through a window cause of the light from your garden.
so...minimize your risk, seeds greatly help, if you do get a clone isolation as to not affect your other plants, and treat the plant like it does have bugs. also I would look for rockwool or bare roots even if only for the fact it would be easier to soak the whole plant in your preferred bug killing solution.

my rooms are inside of a dirt floor barn. all of my farm equip is stored in there year round. tractor, lawn mowers, weed whips, brush hog, straw bales for chickens, all my used composting/new dirt, fresh fertilizer bags, mixing trays for soil, and its warm all year long from the ac that exhausts into it. I dont change my shoes, my dogs run freely in my room sometimes, my grow room door is open to the dirt floor barn area when I'm inside of the rooms and light is on 24/7 and 12 hours a night in the other, I can see it poke through the ac unit, a couple cracks too. I've got snakes, spiders, sometimes gnats couple times aphids for ten minutes....never seen a mite or a mite web. my visual inspection is daily with a 1600x digital lcd microscope, can see the fluids moving in a fly's leg with this thing.

I contend mites come from clones, house plants, and buddies with mites. :P

I got mites 2x before I started getting clones. They all came in from outside on clothing or in bales/worm castings/cow shit. I went to the cannabis cup and bought 3 clones and one of them had spider mites on the bottom leaves. Went back in and returned them. He probably sold them after I left. Shame people are that lazy or just don't care what they put others thru.
Went to Genotype this weekend for the 2nd time. All looked bug free and in good shape. I still quarantined and sprayed with Safer brand insecticide but I'd recommend them fo sho.

I use hydroton, but you are absolutely correct.
Ann Arbor's genotype a2 has pre-98 bubba and Death Star.

Im jaded as shit about getting clones outside of my circle now so its nice to hear positives about local spots being legit and about their business.
Maybe one day I'll venture out again, just not today haha.

got them, tahoe og, star tonic and stardust sherbet. wish they didn't run out of the detroit sour deisel or skywalker. next run.

Never been to Genotype A2 before. I've got clones from Arborside years ago but thats about it outside of my circle. I got a few good clones from them that were clean & legit. They also offered their clones in soil, and with no medium for hydro applications. I just looked and they have Skywalker listed on their site for available clones right now.
