Cloning a plant that almost died

Hi guys!

Im wondering, i have a plant that i shoulda watered this morning, i come up and i find it super floppy.
When it comes back from almost dying, is the genetics damaged, should i not clone that plant?

Because i have 2 Chem Valley Kush plants, one was suuuuper thirsty and looked almost dead, she came back. And now both look equally healthy, can i clone them both?

So its a 100% chance that the clones from the one that dried out (but nowlooks EQUALLY healthy to the other one) will NOT yield less or anything? Right, i just need to know since im sooooo
freaking happy with this CVK #1. :D

Some plants don't bounce all the way back from stress. Some plants don't root as well or yield as well after they've been stressed. Some stressed plants get cloned and those clones get passed around...

Let's put it this way. I lost a certain cut and I've been wanting it back, but I won't take it from my one buddy because I know his garden is stressed from his grow style. I'm waiting to get the cut from my other buddy, who's garden is super happy, because I know that his cutting won't skip a beat because the mothers are happy :-)

If I were you I'd clone them both, and label the clones so you know which came from which plant, and see for yourself whether the period of dehydration had any effect on the vigour of the cuttings. Totally could be so.

Nice man, good to know, i was wondering about labeling it to see if there was any difference. I mean can't lose this cut. The strain isnt suppoed to be sweet, but i found a white creamy sweet monster :D a keeper, ty bro

@senilefugus has a good point about stress.
But I cloned a blue dream in late flower that had been all but killed from a pH malfunction. And I think it is actually better, this is probably not normal, but it is true in my one case.

No genetic damage/change has happened from human mistake or any over/under conditions from watering or feeding!

The only difference in this clone, is that you learned a lesson and grew it better! No difference!

True that. It's way better now using a good soil recipe and very few nutes.

I think ill maybe mark the clones and compare, too afraid to lose this CVK Pheno! But the more people that say "naaaah, it doesnt change" the happier i become hehe.
