Cloning from seed?

I'm curious how this in done because if you grow from normal seed you have to flower to find out which are female. Once you have identified a female do you revert back to the veg lighting schedule and are then free to take your clones?

I can't seem to find any information on cloning from seed. Any information would be great because I have some seeds from a high generation local outdoor strain that I want to see if can produce decently indoors and if so would like to clone rather then dealing with males and what not. Thanks

take the cuts from the female plants when they show sex then put the clones under 18-6 or 20-4 light schedule and they will revert back to veg

I started from seeds. Label each plant and when they are old enough to take a cutting (and still in veg) throw the clone in flower cycle to determine sex of the mom (or dad) plant. No reveg needed

Thanks for the replies, was mainly curious if a flowering female would revert back to veg. I like that method Chomps, just need a veg area and that method seems pretty efficient! Thanks
