hi all

i need a bit of help

my mates got a 2 month old plant..... i was planning on cloning it....i just need some advice on how to do this successfully...??

i am planing on using a 14 watt energy saving bulb (its a cfl) that has the output of 75 watts
is this good enough...??
if not what shall i use....i dont have a big budget... :(
would a regular bulb be better...i was worried about the heat..??

thanks

CFL is great. And the low wattage is great for rooting a clone. Just get some cloning gel, and a humidity dome. Then when you take the cutting(with sterilized scissors) you should smear the cloning gel at the bottom of the stem and put it in the soil or whatever you are using for cloning. Place the humidity dome over it and then be patient. Keep the light on 24/0.

as the plant gets older can ii continue with the current bulb..??

you can use that 14 watt bulb untill your clone has some roots, then your gonna need at least 4 of those for the first 3 weeks of veg. Then you need 4 to 6 of the 23 watt cfls for flowering, this is all at a minimum btw.
