No, they're not roots, but they might end up turning into roots. When they sprout roots, you'll be able to tell, really easy, because they grow pretty fast. If you see a root starting some morning, you'll be able to see the difference, the next day.

I'm not sure about the bumpy things you are talking about. I've seen them before, on clones that I pulled because they didn't root, My guess, is that they are undeveloped root locations, halted for some reason, whether it be the water, etc..... and I'm not sure if they're completely dead, or able to revive and start growing roots again.

thanks u were very helpful, im pretty pissed i did like 6 clones and theyve all failed idkwhy : (

You mentioned you went straight water, so you had no medium? what kind of set up did you use? Did you just have the cutting sitting in water?
well my first clones i ever did were in soil (first dipped in rooting gel obviously) 2 out of 5 survived, but than that method kept failing so i went on the intarweb and saw that some guy dipped in rooting gel than straight to water so ive been trying that. but doesnt seem to be workin for me i guess somthins wrong with me haha

Do you have them covered? They need pretty high humidity so they can breathe in the water they need through their leaves till the roots form. You can get a tray and cover, along with potting cubes at walmart for very little money, this would probably raise the success rate.

ye i got em covered and everything took a few new clones put 2 in dirt 2 more in water put a bit more rooting gel ill let u know how it goes
