Cloning machines? Any users?

I was looking at these cloning machines and was wondering what they work like. I've seen the video but was just curious what you guys think. I just use the old dome and cube method but thought these looked interesting.
Please don't go on about the price...........I'm interested in if they actually work better. Not interested in making one either. Just want to know if these commercial units work at all.

Or any other pre-made units that seem good.

Thanks in advance for your input.

I use an ez-cloner.

Works well with no humidity dome needed.

Straight ro water and aloe-dipped stems.

Near 100% success rate and ready for transplant in 14 days.

I used cloning machines for a few years but eventually went back to the old dome and tray. I found the auto cloners to be hit or miss depending on the strain.

Are you having any issues with cloning Hippy or are you just curious about the cloners?

I used to use e-z clone -128 version white one , hit and miss as r.raider said . Only problem was i had to fill the water in couple day , due to my neoprene insert was old , or some plant Died leave it empty spot then water leak thru insert . Beside that problem , the clone machine is good , it pay for it self . Just need to clean insert and spray head after each use . I use water with ph adjusted , dont need any root solution or the root powder compound came with machine ( forgot that shit call, it was 4 year ago tho ) .Now im back to the rock wool plug due to i need more than 128 clone . Otherwise it a good machine .

No issues..just checking this stuff out.

If you are handy at all you can diy an aeroponic cloner for under $100 (the pump is the most expensive part), my buddy loves his but he is the only person I know who uses one.

I've used a few but always go back to the old fashion way. The only advantage is if your in DWC or aeroponic. Some strains don't fancy the "machines" imo they aren't better or worse, just a different way of doing things.

This is going back to 2005 when I first sold the EZ Cloner but every customer that I've even talked to or sold the machines never had long term success with aero cloning. At times they worked great other times they took forever to root or just didn't. There was never any reason why they worked or didn't. This is why most stores in the Lower Mainland don't carry them anymore.

This is true but I will say this. I use 3g of water in mine and run it 24/7 and the temp in the Rez doesn't rise very much because of the amount o water.
I used to run a 15 site shoebox sized unit that fit under a dual 24" flo. Roughly 1 gal of water, small pump with a 6" stone run 24/7...100% foolproof for under $50. I gave it away to a novice grower who was having a hard time cloning and never replaced it. This thread has inspired me to throw together a new one.

I'm having an issue with cloning....I'm bad at it...no luck

In the past year I've taken probably 25 cuts and only got 5 to root. I followed the way subcool does it, with just rapid rooters and a dome, didn't master that so I got an ez cloner , took cuts about 10 days ago...nothing, tops look decent, down low no root growth and I'm starting to think they won't grow out. Are the stems supposed to be submerged, just above the water line ? I've retraced all the mistakes people make from sterilized blade to making sure the temp in Rez doesn't get too warm, to trying clonex, honey or whatever I was suggested.

Help me out a little?

no, stems are above the water line with the misters spraying water mist on them.
Plain Tap water is fine for cloning, no timer on pump, keep it going 24/7.
Low light source is preferred, T5 at 12 - 18' above cuts works well
No dome needed with aero.
Healthy mom's & patience is required

Are you using just plain phed tap water and maybe a little clonex rooting gel? I'm by no means an expert but I have had 100% success rate cloning using tap water and clonex rooting gel.

Where are you taking the cuttings from? I find that if I take the tops and clone them they tend to take longer than something which wasn't receiving as much light.

I just cut them and dip them in rooting gel, put a net collar around them and put them in my aero cloner. My timer is set 1 min on 3 min off. I have a chiller that keeps the res temp at 71-74f. No dome, room humidity is anywhere from 40-60rh.

If your room is really cold that might be why.
