so cloning is best done in vegetative stage, but if your plant is from a normal seed, you dont know if the plant is male or female.
so you could be cloning a male?
ok so this either means you wait till flowering to clone, and as soon as you can determine sex you take the clone.
OR you take clones of all your plants during Veg, label them well, and when the plants you took the clones from hit flowering, you just get rid of the clones from the male plants, along with the male source plant itself?

the plants will show pre sex..you will need at least a 30 scope to look at the plants..the plants you grow from seed and dont know what sex they are let them vegge about 6 weeks..they will show pre flower pistols or balls if they are male..i wouldnt ..although some say to put them into flower..bring them back to vegge..that stunts the plant when you do that..either pre sex or take clones to then flower..and throw away the genetic material that you dont want..save what you do..and make mother's out of it..through a trial and error cloning experiement i had done useing voodoo juice ..the AN cloning sytem..in a aeroponic cloning bucket..used with clonex.( very easy and cheap to make) versus clonex with H2O2..the clonex with the H2O2 was several 3 days faster to show roots...and the rooting was much stronger...so i recommend you use H2O2 ...al b fuct has thread.s on the use of H2O2....it is reccomended to use it 1 ml per liter of 50% H2O2 and 1.7 ml per liter of water....to make a clone bucket..you need a cheap water pump..aprox 15 dollars at my hydro store...some 3/4 or 1/2 ince pvc pipe..you will need a T a small piece of pipe..two end caps...one hose barb..you will make a T...put it on top of the pump with a small piece of hose connected to the hose barb on top of the pump..connect to the hose barb on the PVC T you just made...you will need about 6 sprayer jets 360 degree..they cost 75 cents each..id get extra..its n ice to change them out when they get jammed up..a five gallon bucket is needed ..a 2 inch hole saw..about 12 bucks at the hardware..and 20 -2inch neopreen round plant holding discs...you will need the correct size drill bit and threading tap ..you will simpley drill the holes for the spray jets in the PVC T...and screw them in facing up...take your 2 inch hole saw drill as many holes for your 2 inch clone neopreen holders as you want or can fit into mine have 16 each in each 5 gallon bucket lid..the neopreen holders fit snug into the holes..your clones you will cut off of your mother..it is nice to have around a 4 to 5 inch clone....cut the clone material off the plant..i do mine with dutch masters cone jell on my razor blade..that way it gets some cloning hormone on it soon as it is cut while the blade is going through the stem..i then take it to the clone bucket..hold it underwater and cut the clone at around a 45% angle..then i scrape the stem and remove some of the pulp from aruond the stem end..remove the last set of lower leaves clone gell the hell out of em..the put them into the neoprean holder and into thebucket lid..the lid then goes back on top of the bucket..you turn your pump on and the jets will spray water at the bottom of the bucket lid at your newly placed clones..with H2O2 they will start showing root nodes in 3 to 4 days..fastest way to clone i have tried..a sock that goes around your pump helps keeps your jets clean..i use hydrogaurd...i think this is necassary to help keep your jets clear...clonex....at the rate specified..a small ..very small amount of nitrogen based grow nutes..i use a cap of foX farm grow in the soup...and H2O2...the total cost to set up a bucket...is less then 60 for the first bucket and 40 or so after that...the nutes will run around 40 bucks..and will last a long long time and do alot of cloning...this is the easiest fastest cheapest way of cloning..without the stress of losing clones...always clean thouroghly your clone buckets and sprayers after each use...
