Closed column extractor. Difficulty of use?

Whats up everybody. I know there is tons of info on how to run product for wax. I am not asking how that process works.

My question is in regards to level of difficulty and quality. I would like to start running my product, but I know there is plenty of quality wax going around for fair prices. Once somebody obtains the equipment to make some wax, is it simply a matter of being able to follow the directions others have posted to get desired quality or is there a lot of tricks and learning to be done like in growing?

I am debating buying the best value vacs closed column extractor starter kit.
Would like anybodys thoughts who has had some experience with this process.

Thanks

Closed column didn't do much for us. Suggest looking at Lil Terp passive system or equivalent.

Okay thanks man ill look into that. I'm more curious about the level of difficulty operating and producing quality product. Is a terp passive system something that requires multiple runs to get good results or if your able to follow instructions properly is it rather simple?

Rather simple. Primarily temperature control.

Awesome. Thats what I was hoping for. Thanks man
I use a Tamisium with great results. its a no brainer, no issues, no complaints.
I was doing some research on these ones last night actually. Looks like the one in my range is only a 2oz max though. After my outdoor harvest I am expecting to have a large amount of bud as well as couple lbs of trim. The next size up which was the 8oz was in the 4k range I believe. Correct me if I'm wrong though. Thanks for the input man

Ya they are pricey but well built. I'm gonna sell mine as it's just too small. Made great oil though.

Smaller unit but I'd pack the fuck out of it with ground bud...best I could do. The ice and hot water part was a pain in the ass though.
I hear that!!

I ended up with a perfect amount of those plastic ice cubes always frozen at the wait to be dumped over the tank when ready. for heat I use a silicone heat strip I found online for cheap. I dont have to re up the ice to recover

It did yield pretty decent as i'd cram about 4 ounce in it ground. Don't really use it now.

Appreciate everybody who shared there input. After looking over everything and studying the process I have not made a decision yet but have been looking into rosin press as well. Seems like its not as big of a process. Never need to get butane. And I figured I could use dry ice or one of the many methods of extracting keif and that good stuff from trim. Then pressing the keif for rosin.

1. Whats your thoughts on this? My method of running the trim for rosin.
2. Your opinions on quality of rosin press extract vs butane
3. Best rosin press in 1250 price range

Thanks fellas
