It's Nutrifield 70/30 coco perlite with gs-2 Growstones. All those chunks you see are the Growstones. They are pretty awesome and will definitely be a part of my mix no matter what medium I'm using. I do suggest poking holes in the bag and rinsing the whole bag before using them though to get rid of the glass dust since they're made from recycled glass.
Thanks for the info .... Looks like a good bug barrier too

This may be true but genetics is the biggest factor in bud size. Can you show me some Platinum Cookies bus that big? Just saying the buds he is showing could be some of the biggest ever for that genetic or not.
Not only genetics but veg time, pot size and overall watts all play a major role in plant size.
Could we see the whole plant or a lighter next to that bud for perspective? What size pot, medium? How many weeks it was vegged for? How big your space is? All of those things should be taken into account before critiquing anything. Even a non grower would kind of know all those things could make a difference in plant size.

Only pic I have left of that plant, I always use 6 liter pots and use coco coir. The tent was probably a lot bigger than his, and I had a lot of light (2x315 CDM), but so far his plants are the only ones under the Quantums I've seen, they just seem like standard micro grow buds, so not entirely convinced of the lights superiority.

Don't blame you but it really is each grow situations independent. At the end of the day these have been available 3.5 months so you can't expect a whole lot just yet. It speaks volumes to me though that everyone that has completed a grow with them that have been using cobs are believers such as @NapalmD

I may not have quite completed my first test run, but you can count me among the believers as well.

At this point in the game if i know the spd and density you can take your grow journal and shove it.

No one cares if you're convinced.

So far so good with the " youngins " .... Candy Dream is blossoming and Girl Scout Glue is bushing up nicely. A little LST on those two help open them up.

Its a warmer week out west , but these boards are chillin !
Even the COBS with the pin hearsinks are just warm with no real high heat.

As soon as the next wave of boards come in , i will work on the 3rd build.

As far as the 3000k/3500k ( cree equiv. ) spectrum its definetely a good no brainer sweet spot for seed to harvest growing. Sure you can develop rigs from micro grows to full blown 6 panel ( or more ) to hands down defeat the wasted energy from heat losses. People hate change , but no buying $75 - $100 replacement bulbs ( whether hps or cmh ). Yes the 315 CMH system is the only rig i would do compared to those blast furnace HIDs. But for the price comparison - one to one , you can build a higher power rig that has WAY MORE FLEXABILITY.

I mean seriously .... You can build a small two panel rail build and push close to 350 Watts with the proper driver. No ducting .... No bullshit. How easy is that shit . $150 bucks for 2 boards / $80 bucks ( plus or minus ) for a driver and you run rings around efficiency compared to gas filled bulbs. Noobs should be throwing their blurple out the fucking windows by now. Even those PREMADE grow closets should be contracting HLG for their product line !

One could buy a small 24x24 micro tent .... Throw in a 5000k panel (90w kit ) and have a seedling nursery or clone setup.

Lol im not sure we can call 1 bud pic a grow journal hahaha,do we even know if thats his picture? This will be even better if he starts asking led tech questions in 2 months because everyones blowin up grows under the quantum boards lmfao.

Deleted my previous imgur after getting busted by cops, so no way I can prove anything. I'm also not able to grow until next fall, so maybe there will be a lot of Quantum journals by then. I'm just trying to figure out my next setup since I don't have room for two 315s anymore, the Timber framework COB kits seem like the easiest choice due to being plug and play, but I'm definitely interested in the Quantums, just need to see dense well formed nugs with high trichome coverage to tip me towards them.

Early flower, and a hanging bud from the same grow. Then the cops came.

200w first 30 days and 240w the rest.
2x2.5 tent. This pheno is a decent yielder but no monster by any means. From rooted rapid rooter to 12/12 in 3 days in 1 gallon pots.
This is only a test I repeat this only a test and it's only the beginning.
Okay for those specs they do look nice, might be the right lights for my next setup. Going to be a closet grow, going from 3x4 tent to a 20x30" space.
