CO 2 question

In theory, The basment of a house should be Higher CO2 than the rest considering CO2 is heavier than air and sinks. More So if the Furnace and Hot Water Heater are in the basement, Due to the Burners and pilot Lights Burn oxygen out of the air. In theory anyway, I was wondering if anyone has tested CO2 Levels in their Basement Vs the rest of the house, and if the actual real world number bare out the theory?

I ask Because My Grow will be sit up in the basment, and I MIGHT be able to Squeeze it into the Utility Room where the Furnace and Hot Water Heater are located, which, in theory anyway should be the Highest CO2 room in the house, but sadly I do not have a CO2 meter.

Insignificant. The pilot on your waterheater is burning almost no gas and your furnace is circulating it with the rest of the air/gas in your house.

You would not want to be in an area with anything that makes heat- you will have enough from your lights-
Also- c02 levels theoretically would be higher in the basement- but in reality it’s not much different.

It's still gonna make some heat not as much as the hps/cfm bulbs do, but your still gonna have to pull heat out of your grow area.
I will have a 100CFM intake fan and a 90CFM Exghust fan, the room it self where the furnace and hot water heater are only runs about 75 at the highest, and that is in the summer, In the winter the entire basment stays about 70 unless i plug in a space heater. Do you think that would still be too warm to put the tent in there?

My basement stays a Lil under 70. I got a 3x3 a 2x4 and a 3x4. Each have a 203 cfm exhaust. Sometimes I run a second inline and filter for intake but didn't find it made a huge difference in my temps just for cleaner air. I can run my Mars hydro tsl2000 (300w) in the 2x4 at full power and it spikes out around 82-84. My hlg r-spec 320 I run at 60% in my 4x3(192watts) and it stays about about 81 lights on my 3x3 has a knock off light I run at about about 240w 80-82. I get 8-13 degree temp changes(68-81) running my dark time during daytime and my lights on overnight.

The Mars hydro and the knock off have fully detachable drivers that sit fully outside the tent the hlg dose not. The r spec line also has a big bump in the far IR spectrum that most lights don't that throws off more heat.

These 203cmf fans are 4 inch in lines, I'll be looking to upgrade to 6 inch when I find a job again I'd like to be able to drop a few more degrees when needed or crank my lights up closer to full power

Keep the grow out of the Utility room unless you can service your furnace an H/W heater your self.

For the record, I have my tent in a small utilities room with my hot water heater & our boiler unit. I do that because it's the warmest room in the house except for summer. I maintain low 80's with LED lights on, and with lights out it's mid 70's. I also live in northern NY state, so. cold in the winter. I do have an intake and exhaust setup but lately that's not even being triggered by higher temps. I even keep the door closed to keep more ambient heat in the room.

So what happens when the boiler goes out in the middle of winter an you got the room its it full of buds ready to harvest in 2 weeks.

yea my grow is adjacent to my hot water tank and gas furnace. i have a co2 generator but in the winter cant run the a/c so i still run the room just air cooled, the ambient co2 in the winter is around 700 ppm in the basement not really high enough co2 enriched rooms run at 1500 ppm. even if your tent is right next to your hot water tank your not gona see any major benefit.
