CO2 Oil - NOT FOR SMOKING? Delta9 Tekhnologe THO

Hey guys,

I just bought some new CO2 oil that TGS is selling. They sell it in syringes and bullet prefill carts. I got two .5gs to check em out, it's 50/g.

I looked on the packaged when I got home and it says NOT INTENDED FOR SMOKING on the back and FOR ORAL USE ONLY on the syringe.

So I assume these are for putting into food only? But then I think well TGS is putting them in carts so maybe that's just a guideline thing they have to put on it??

I checked out their website, and it says nothing about oral only. And they actually sell their own prefills of it mixed with glycol and use it in the vape pen they sell. So I am royally confused.

ANY input is great! Thanks!!!

The oil in question:

Info from their website...

THO stands for Tetrahydro-Oil from Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC.
THO is a pure cannabis extract, which is made through a supercritical CO2 process. Supercritical extraction yields Super Pure, Super Potent, Broad Spectrum Oil, with No Chemical Solvents. The supercritical process is the gentlest way to extract delicate plant compounds in a manner to optimally preserve their potency and stability. When you use D9’s THO supercritical extracts, neither you, nor the environment, have to contend with chemical solvents.
Each batch of oil is tested with results showing THC, CBD, CBN and Overall Cannabinoid content.
The Vape Rx vaporizer includes a refillable cartridge of proprietary blend of pure cannabis extract “THO” with propylene glycol and/or vegetable glycerin (the latter two are common food additives).

The syringes are for use filling a Vape Pen.

its oil mixed with Food grade Glycerin or propylene glycol to keep It liquid at room temp.

A vape pen heats to a lower temp the smoking with a bowl.

I think you could drip it on some weed in a bowl, ask around to some others.

if you use a Ti Nail, I suggested to someone else dripping dots on parchment paper and freezing them.

pop them off paper and drop on a hot Nail, it should be OK.

I have never done this!

please ask in the Forum related to Smoking Oil for help from more sound minds than mine!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL!

I have never seen PEG used in syringes only cartridges. Wouldn't need PEG for oral. I think they would make it evident on packing. I am suprised cigarettes don't say not for smoking.

Just fyi
You CAN hit pg oil intended for ecigs or whatever on a nail..a few of us have done it and talked about it in one of the pg threads in c&e..doesn't take alot , basically just ecig vapor all at once

But vg should not be heated to such temps...only do with pg!

Dogen, I'm fully aware of what concentrates are and how to use them etc... I'm basicly asking about this specific Co2 oil brand and my confusion over the labeling.

Perhaps I was not clear...

There is no filler in the syringe or carts that TGS sells.

I have two syrignes of this "THO" brand CO2 oil. The packaging says not intended for smoking, which I have not seen before.

At first I thought it might be food grade oil but at 50/g that doesn't seem right and their website talks all about how pure it is and shit.

So I'm thinking this is just some sort of thing they have to put on it. Plus, the company that makes this oil, actually sells their own carts of it that they mix with filler.

It's probably just oil, maybe cut with glycerin or glycol, that has been de-carbed so that it can be consumed orally straight from the syringe. River rock does this with the tsunami oil. I wouldn't smoke it personally if it has been cut with glycerin or glycol....

maybe be give them a call and ask? They are probably open....

Well, I ate .1 and put .1 in my atoms rx(never use it anymore anyway). It's not cut with anything, at-least according to the website and the consistency of it. Also says "Pure Cannabis Extract" on the package btw.

It did seem to "pop" and bubble a lot when I turned the pen on. I didn't put the cap on and hit it, just lit the coil and looked at it. Maybe I put too much?

Put the cap and my mini pen bubbler on it and took a hit. It tasted nice, well comparied to the other co2 I've tried. I just wish I knew if that popping was normal.

I'll maybe try it on my other rigs before I clean them sometime here in the near future.

PS> Good idea to call but I feel stupid being like, "Can I dab this shit that says not meant for smoking?".

Only way to know for sure is call and ask em a million questions about it

My opinion is that..
"The Vape Rx vaporizer includes a refillable cartridge of proprietary blend of pure cannabis extract “THO” with propylene glycol and/or vegetable glycerin (the latter two are common food additives)."
It may be simply to cover their ass if it has vg.. .....
When glycerin(vg) is heated to 280 °C(wow coincidentally bout the temp of a BIC lighter..bout/just over 500°f), it decomposes into acrolein. Acrolein is toxic and is a strong irritant for the skin, eyes, and nasal passages. The WHO suggests a "tolerable oral acrolein intake" of 7.5 μg/day per kilogram of body weight. the US Occupational Safety and Health Administration has set a permissible exposure limit at 0.1 ppm

But without any other info....pure speculation

Also decarbed weed still produces shatter....

I updated the title with pics btw..

I do not have a Vape Rx or any of the Vape Rx "prefills"... I have two syringes of the "THO" Pure CO2 oil. I'm just so confused about the not intended for smoking thing, lol.

Fuck it, I'll call em tomorrow.

Tomorrow being Christmas Eve they may not be around. I ate a full gram of the activated Tsunami bho once .... It was a nice ride.... blows the old tolerance to hell though.

Haha, yea... That is my current issue, tolerance is stupid high.

And yea, they may not be around, w/e I'll wait. I'm starting to question even more about this stuff... Their is nothing on the website or their facebook since 2011, lol. And TGS just started carrying this stuff. Plus the labeling is weird, like the phone number on the package is covered up by that LLC sticker. hu.

I'm headed by the dispensary where I got them shortly, maybe I'll go in and ask.

I have had those exact syringes and they are dabbable. Not recommended personally, just disregard the note. If you want to smoke it, go ahead! They are intended for vape pens though!

Yea, I figured as much. And your right they aren't that great. Something about CO2 oil I haven't found any I like yet.

They key words I think are "intended" and "smoking". Although I would argue that most people are actually smoking when they dab or even with most pens, despite the fact everyone considers it vaporizing.

Decided to just email TGS and ask all my questions about it, usually quicker than asking the people in the store, lol.

Aha....

I came across the same thing.

” For Oral Use only”

^ that is for the syringe itself, not the contents inside.

They are just using oral syringes, and the ” oral use only” is so it is clear to not try to put an actual needle in there.

Haha...
I did the same exact thing.......

All oral syringes, say that on the side, regardless of capacity...

Check out your nute syringe, it'll have the same verbiage.

Maybe some dummy went anal mode with it.

Lol, yea I thought about that.

My nute syringes say "one time use only" btw. I ordered a bunch of them from a Chinese medical supply company like a year ago, hehe. I think the ones most people have are actually for animals.

Update - Info from TGS

· The Co2 is made by D9Tek that is owned by Boulder Organic Food Group. They cover up the label, because they’ve recently changed their packaging to show the name of the company, rather than the subsidiary. This product is de-carboxylated for consumption and is made with glycerin, it is safe for dabbing, however by law they are required to display a warning label ‘NOT INTENDED FOR SMOKING’ to meet packaging requirements. The packaging also displays by default a 0.33g weight, as this is what they normally package their syringes with, however we specially order ours by 0.5g. The measurement of Gram instead of Milliliter is used due to weight tracking standards adopted by the industry.
