CO2 supplement for my COBs

Hello, I have 5 citizen 1212 in my 2,29x2,29x5,25 tent, 245W ish at full power(260W from wall measure by a kill a watt)


Vegetative stage just finished at 100W, now it's time to switch and an expert COB grower told me to do not exceed 200W in blooming stage because over this power amount I'd need to supplement CO2.

Is it true or may not be a real problem?

If you are in a tent CO2 would be a waste of effort. CO2 grows are done in self contained atmospherically controlled sealed grow rooms.

If 2,29 is meters then you are around 90 inches or 7.5 feet. That puts you at 56.25 sq ft. If all you are using is 245w for the whole tent then you are very under powered regarding light. That barely 4w per square foot. A lot of grows using COBs are ok if they have 35w per sq ft and most aim for 50w per sq ft. Now if 2,29 is in fact "feet" then you would be around 46w per sq ft at 245w which is great.

I run my 300 watt 3590s full out after the first three weeks of veg.. plants literally explode with growth... keep em 18"
Don't need Co2...

You should see what co2 does to plant growth. Maybe you already do know I'm not sure. Just wondering why you say no co2?

depends on temp. if your temps are mild and youre running cobs tents work well with co2 cycling on and off with exhaust fans. set it at 85F and you should get a nice long soak. if your exhaust fan isnt running full tilt add some small air king circ fans

I thought so. Like I said your current light will blow that amount of floor space up. I would be more worried about the short headroom.

Hello Bobby. Temperature is now between 22 and 26 °C (71.6 and 72.8°F) but will increase in the next weeks.

I' ve an inline fan (107 m3/h) for air inlet and one dual speed air extractor(145-187 m3/h)with odor sock filter for outlet.
I've got also a smal circ fan hang above the colas.

Tent is like "vacum" with negative pressure inside, 24/24 working air circulation.

May i buy a "CO2 bag" in your opinion or just put my COB at full power without pain?

Hi! , Does "blow" means "explosion"? Is it a good thing or bad?
About tent "roof"I' m going to scrogging in small pots (1.5 gal) and full coco...
What about CO2 issue in your opinion?

"Blow it up" as in your plants are really going to like that light and do well without CO2. Growing in coco is really a form of hydroponics and with a little skill you will have nice plants. How many do you plan of growing at once?

Plants are four (2 mostly indica and 2 fast sariva) with SCROG NET..

About coco that's my first time.
I had some troubles in the first weeks but right now it seems to go really good 50%coco50%perlite with simil smart pots.
I like to have a reusable medium, discrete to bring home (if you use compressed and dry coco) small pots, no insects or soil pests....

Bad thing is have to feeding everyday but the good is that you can easier take under control over fert or over watering..

Vegetative stage was good, hoping (cross fingers ) to get also some big buds!

Could i try and just see if all goes on ok?
Currently I'm at 10 days from 12/12.

Hi HydoDan, which is your tent size?
As I wrote before mine is 2.29 feet.
And as you know my 1212 put out less photones than your CXB.
Do you think I have just to try?
I read that plant could stop to grow if i give too much light and needing more CO2...But i do not know if it still continue growing when I turn back light photones as now (now I'm giving 210 W from wall and plant grows really good!) Ore once plant stop to grow i lost buds environment irreversibly.

Yes I believe you should try it.. My tent is 2ft.4" x 4ft 4" and I have added two more cobs at 54 watts bringing my total to roughly 410 cob watts... I should be running co2, but I'm not I just keep a window open and a fan running..If I had higher temps I would think about it..

Does your exhaust blow the air outside the building? If yes, you do not need to implement a co2 system.

If your exhaust blows the air back in the room, you will need to add co2. You can also open a window or doors.

If you're growing for a hobby our personal stash, you don't need co2.
Your plant won't stop growing. Raise your light accordingly. If you're running bare cobs, you'll be fine with low ceiling height as long as you have 1' to spare.
If your temps stay down when semi-sealed, then try a few of them bags if you want.

Unfortunately I can't open any windows during main time of the day and yes, exhaust blow the air back in a tiny room temperature is currently quite warm 72-83 °F..
At the evening i can open the windows in the adjacent room, not in the tiny. Anyway there is not a good air circulation outside the little tent.
Could i even try without CO2?
What noticiable effects i'd seemif any?
