Trying to do it the cheap way will probably cost you more in the long run, you can get a tank for less than $100 and it will cost $10 - $15 to fill each time. The only other expensive thing you would want to get is an electronic solenoid and I think they are about $75. I think it's better to set it up with real equipment than trying to do it cheap, too much hassle with the DIY methods.

What Is Seltzer?
Seltzer water is carbonated water enriched with Co2. Club soda is also carbonated water but it may have salt or other minerals which would not be good for the plant. Seltzer water can be used for Co2 for plants but would not be very effective.

I've decided I'm buying a container. Tried the cheap way, and don't like the way there is no way to measure, control or time it.. But it was good for a short time whilst I was scrapped for cash.

co2 can be added all the way through the grow but i think personaly it is more important during flowering.

CO2 can be used the entire time. We started using it in only the flowering room, due to the costs. BIG improvement.

Doing something, and doing something RIGHT the first time are totally different. Why do something only to have to rip it out and do it all over?

Personally, I'd rather wait till funds allow me to do it right. Might be good advice to follow if you think along the same lines.

I'd rather not end up with moldy bud, or lose my crop.
