Co2?????

Do I need CO2 enrichment if I have good ventilation and a steady temp at 76 degrees? If so I was only planning on using it during flowering. Was wondering if it would be worth the extra money or is good ventilation good enough? Thanx to any reply!!!

You only need CO2 enrichment if you have sufficient lighting. Surplus CO2 in your grow environment facilitates accelerated photosynthesis only if above-normal amounts of light are available. Long story short it lets your plants use more light, but its only worth it if you have that light in the first place. Run a search for CO2 Enrichment, and you'll find a graph depicting growth with supplemented CO2 levels.

I'm growing hydro in 4" rockwell cubes. I have 10 plants on drip irrigation. Using 2 double bulb 4 ft flours 40 watts each. 2 warm white 2 cool white bulbs. Right now I have good ventilation with a 180cfm econogrow inline turbine fan that runs 24/7. I have a small heater with thermostat the keeps room arond 76 to 79 degrees. Humidity is between 30 to 40%. I forgot to mention that my room is a small basement 6' x 6' x 5.5. Trying to keep all plants fairly small. planning on flowering at around 12" tall. Oh yea I forgot to mention I have 400 watt hps for flowering Just wondering if CO2 enrichment would be worth the extra money. A few seeds are not quite up yet but I think they"ll be okay I can see new sprouts.

Looks like a fun grow.. I look forward to following your thread....

No reason to rush into C02...... Work on keeping the light as close to your plants as possible... ONCE THEY HAVE matured a bit... (7 more days)... lower the lights gradually... 1-2 inches everyday...

cheers
