Bump, I've been seeing these cob/qb hybrids popping up on the internet. Do these two technologies mesh well together?

This is what I'm trying to figure, getting some inspiration and generally wondering what sort of wattage to run boards when running with cobs

2nd one looks good with the veros if they are Cs

first one id prob just push the boards harder or add a board or use different cobs as (3) 3590s run that hard arent super efficient and are prob more expensive than doing the same with boards

Interesting , looks like gromau5 is starting a new trend. I wasn't sure if this was going to be effiecnt, but looks cool to build.

Par-Horta will custom build these units! Just send James an email and he will give you details and price. He said my unit has room for 4 QBs if I want to add to it later.

Iv re done mine again for now until I get more heatsinks for the boards and a bigger frame or just one big alli sheet to attach everything to.
One thing I did notice with these 3500k Samsung boards is that on 20w per board they look much more white although this could be my camera as I couldn't look at them.

And at 44w a board, 177w from the wall between the 4 quick blast test as only 2 on heatsinks

I'm running them at 35w a board so 140 at the wall.

They seem to fill in the dark top as the cobs seem to leave a dull look I think more due to useing 3000k cobs at 35-50 w each
