I think prophets point was lost because EVERYBODY want'sto freak out about coke aharsh chemical nd cannabis being compared... chewing coca no problem .. smoking crack PROBLEM. smoking weed no problem. using butane(an unhealthy harsh chemical)to extract.a concentrated amount of thc.....be honest with yourselves people.much similar process to making serious narcotics....

what about concentrated cannabis. Getting charged with possesion of concentrated cannabis is like being carged with having coke, felony big time. Weed is not addictive so that is cool, you crave it but you wont withdraw if you don't have it.

X3n0n89, I used to do coke recreationally for a long time, you know with a buddy at the bar, or at a party occationally. It seemed to be more or less just a once in a while thing. I know everybody doesn't go from occationally using it, to doing it all the time. I have no Idea when I got to that point of no return, but somehow I did. I guess all we can do is Just hope we are not one of the unlucky one's who get all strung out on it. But as far as pot goes, I see your point, the first few years I did coke, on most occations I would have much rather smoke pot then score coke. Plus, It cost a lot less money. I never smoked away the rent. But I sure did blow it up my nose a few time. Shit, between the Coke and dope I used to do, I couldn't afford ciggaretts let alone a place to live. I lived on the streets for a while, then I spent a few years in prison, When I got out, I was clean, and haven't used coke or dope since. I still smoke Week though. Drug conselors just don't get it. They laugh and tell me, A drug is a Drug is Drug, I just shake my head and agrea. Then on the drive home, I spark up a Dooby..
I think it's safe to say that Weed, no matter what way or form we use in, should not be put into the same catigory as drugs like coke crack meth or heroin.. Do we agrea?
Also, Could someone explain to me what all the hype in hightimes is about Vaporizers. I don't what all the fuss is about.. What do you guys think?

they perfectly heat the cannaboids as in not to destroy any of them like a lighter would, that means you get super ripped. doing 1 or 2 vape bags gets me just as ripped as smoking 2 headies blunts. mind you it takes 1 bowl pack to fill 2 bags

Wow, Sounds intresting.. I'm gonna have to give it try some time. I read that vaporizing was better for your health then smoking it. What happens to the bud after you vaporize it? Does it burn up like when you smoke it?

Thats really a funny way to look at it. It's not addiction, it's Awsome.. For about 10 years or so, I was a bit of cokehead. I was actully addicted to dope, started with the all mighty Oxicontin and then the Heroin took over as my drug of choice, mainly because My doctor cut me off the oxi and they cost so much more then dope does around here. Well, I used to do coke to keep me motivated and because I liked the way it felt to mix the two. I never enjoyed doing coke alone without the H. It would make me feel kind of sketched out and paranoid. I have been clean from H and coke for a number of years now, 4 to be exact. I still enjoy the ganja though. I guess I can say it's my only vice, I don't drink or do any other drugs. I can say with certainty that Weed helped me combat my heroin addiction, and it helped a lot with the withdrawels, not the really bad ones though. For the first 3 day of being dope sick, I wouldn't recomment smoking the Ganj. I was already really tired but couldn't sleep a wink. All the weed did was make me even more tired and want to shoot my fucking legs off. I had wicked leg cramps, which is very common for withdrawels. The problem with the addict brain is that you cant stop thinking about getting high, it comsumes your every thought. After the withdrawels, the constant thoughts of using are the worst part. Your brain doesn't stop untill you either get high or find something to take your mind off it. Weed did that for me. When I was stoned I didn't want to use as bad. Plus, The reason most addicts use is because they don't like to feel normal. weed also helped with that. I think I'm just blabbing now, it's 3:30am and I'm going to bed.
P.S., I wasn't up this late getting all fucked up, I get out of work at 3:00am.
stick with the good shit man, used to be a big smack addict myself. clean 4 years too. tokes to that:mrgreen:

i'll try not to make this post too long. the topic hits home a bit too well (not from technical first hand experience, but from an ex-friend).

i think that almost any issue that is "caused" by a drug, is probably not caused by the drug at all, but caused by the person. and to a finer point, by the type of person (whether their actual fault or not). something to keep in mind about drugs in general is the REASON for use. recreational drug use has quite a few hidden factors in it. illegal drugs will almost always be considered to be used 'recreationally' simply because they cannot be prescribed as medicine. so, the "why" behind use should be taken into account. i will argue that smoking weed to be the first line of defense against say, PPSD, or other types of emotional states is a poor choice indeed. unfortunately, i haven't yet heard of marijuana being the actual 100% CURE of anything yet. while used with great success against quite a few horrible diseases, again, it is not the only source of support against them.

i'll go out on a limb and say that most addicts are addicted to something because they have addictive traits in their genes. the types that get 'addicted' to marijuana may not have a technical body dependency on pot. they will have a learned behavior addiction, like gambling.

does anyone here smoke weed as medicine? other than possibly to curve nausea or increase appetite? i could make that point a bit clearer by saying, are the drugs that one uses, used to ease emotional pain? if that's the case, i'm of the mind that most any drug will not cure you and only mask an issue that needs help that no drug can give. shit, antidepressants are notorious for being harmful rather than helpful and can often have a side effect of depression and anxiety!

if we're talking about the dangers of recreational use, then yes, cocaine is by far worse than marijuana. it's no real question. i don't even really want to start to defend that statement. anyone with first or second hand knowledge of either drug should easily be able to agree with that.

not 4 months ago, i had quite the healthy friendship with a high school buddy of mine. he had been doing coke very infrequently for a few years. no one really cared, he didn't make it a problem. but then as issues surrounding his family life and his love life escalated, he started using more. dozens of people were hurt in the process of him descending into depression and drug use (coke and alcohol). to say that the coke was the cause of his problems is not what i'm saying. the coke however did amplify everything negative in his life. he started snapping at people. he'd be up for days, not bathing, not working, not doing much of anything but drinking and doing coke and going to bars and coming back to hang out with his "sober friends" only to start shit with us and leave. he'd then come back at all of us, telling us we were to blame for all the static within the group. he now doesn't even speak to his "best friend" and roommate. he told his roommate (and actually, MY best friend) he was going to be moved out of their apartment 3 weeks ago. he is still there, eating his food, using his electricity, water, internet, and not providing one cent towards payment. he had actually stopped contributing to his half of the rent at least 2 or 3 months before this time. my friend is too nice to kick him out completely (apparently he's waiting for his new place to become available). he's having to have his parents bail him out. the guy won't even pack up and move out of a place with someone he hates living in it! they don't speak, the user claims to disown his roommate and yet, he won't leave. he won't listen to anyone.

i don't want to complain about this person too much anymore. my point is this: he would have had problems with or without coke or any other hard substance. but with a substance that has such a high dependency rate and is such an expensive habit to continue with and has such a violent culture surrounding it, it is easily a contributing factor in the negativity in his life right now. he will either die relatively soon, or he will learn from his mistakes, probably in tragic fashion and change his ways.

last point: if the original poster can name me one person that has ever overdosed from marijuana, please, fill me in. if not, then please don't ever compare something so wonderful as marijuana to anything so horrible as cocaine ever again.

Marijuana has never made me want to ,not come home, become dillusional, psycotic, or shut out family and friends. It has never cost me a marriage, job or life savings.
I have not lost sleep or teeth becuase of the exlixer herb.
Cocaine on the other hand has done it all and is no friend of mine.
Please think twice before you play with the drug you call Coke.
