Coco compost tea problems

I have my Cindy 99 in coco about a 3 weeks into veg. They where strong and healthy. I mixed up a batch of compost tea of fresh compost and worm castings. I mixed it 50/50 with water. Set the ph to 5.8 and put it on them they loved it for the first day but now are in some kind of nutrient lock out. I have been growing in coco for about 4 years and have never had this happen before, had a few bumps along the way but never anything like this. Advice on what I should do, why this happened this time and no other time I have done this. Thx guys

Hey jdetoy..
I have never seen curling up that bad before.. Crazy! Its probably nute burn. Given what you have said, they liked it, then they got too much, way too much! They've gone full crack head on you..Causing a full lock out too.
Flush them a lot! make sure you empty the trays of water after too.

I hope that sorts them out. GL

This is a situation when you would benefit from a good flush in coco. Also I realize this is a 5-year old thread, but I think the OP suffers from inadequate drainage using coco, due to the fact that there is no elevation of the pot above the drain reservoir.

Looks like he folkier fed the stuff to them, almost, with a reaction that fast. But I don’t understand the organic s in hydro bit, I was told that organic s won’t work in coco and this is the reason why I guess. Flush flush flush and hope for the best

did you water in between feedings of this tea? It’s very important s that you do and it must be well filtered too, not through a coffee filter fine ,but something that’s fine like an old t shirt as I understand it

If you can filter it, use some seaweed tea/solution and some fluvic acid when you would add a PK booster too, this will give you a nice flower ing booster

Using organics with coir/hydro is a recipe for disaster. Why destroy the reason people decide to grow in coir and hydro? You aim for rock stable pH by removing all the organic acids and bad bacteria cultures and use nutrients readily available in solution.

You can't mix different growing styles and expect good results. I think you need to keep doing your homework and study how hydroponics and mineral salts actually work and what's needed and what's not.

You currently use products only intended for dirt while you're growing in hydro. Stop looking at videos on YouTube because I think you may be one of the bunch. Good luck to with your grow!

There’s a reason why he only made this single post 5 years ago. He realized growing with coco organically is dumb.
