Coco Flush Questions "advanced growers only"

My ash is black on outside and grayish on the inside. Burns good but looks as if nutes are still present due to the black ash. I did a full water flush every other day or so for a week and I'm puzzled about what I'm doing wrong.
Please only someone who uses coco needs to answer this..

did all the leaves yellow of and die? if not there may be a lot of nitrogen stored in the plant.

i flush for as long as possible in coco, the salt builds up and even if you flush with nothing but water you are still technically feeding the plants from the built up residue in the pots.

what nute line do you use?

this weed smoked amazing even without a cure, i over flushed these plants but you get the general idea

I think that is bs, I fed with nutes the other day and for 3 months and have not flushed my plants, wanted a taste on 4th of july and chopped a branch to try, dried it quick in a paper bag in the sun......smoked great, no black ash, fuck I was surprised it tasted so good for being dried in 1 day and not flushed and it was tasty as fuck all the way thru the joint, I was like WTF because I always dry S L O W and flush myself...it might really not be needed.

I use advanced. So your saying to wait till my leaves are yellowing to harvest? Or add flushing time?

this is an extreme example but you want the plant to show some signs that it has consumed all of the chemicals in the fertilizer and is now consuming the starches and sugars in the leaves to continue to grow and survive. imo it gives more a much smoother smoking product and tastes sweeter. i grow in non organic fertilizers.

edit: advanced will have lower nitrogen levels than my canna so it may be a possibility you don't have to flush as long. this whole flush not to flush has been done a million times and many people say you dont need to flush, it's all opinion

Hey Mon never said you dont have to flush, Mon said might not be needed.....esp if you are light feeder like mon, more is less etc. Mon will flush anyway, always have might as well. Just sayin mon wanted some smoke on 4th and snipped 3 buds from 3 plants about 2 weeks early dried it in one day in a paper bag under the sun on my back porch and all of it really was BOMB, flavor to the roach baby in fact 5 minutes AFTER smoking mon can still taste the skunky flavor of GSC "Girl Skunk Cookies" . It was NOT harsh, the ash was NOT black and tasted AAA, Everyone was like whoa Mon whoa this is so tasty!

So will Mon do it again with whole harvest? No way, tiny bit in a bag is different for a little headsmoke. Mon has started flushing and will hang dry S L O W

You are the dumb one, Mon said mon flush you noob. Mon said mon wanted some early smoke for the 4th of july and cut a nug off BEFORE FLUSHING. Mon said the UNFLUSHED WEED TASTED BOMB AND THE ASH WAS WHITE BUT THAT COULD BE BECAUSE MON DON"T FEED ALOT YOU FAG. Perhaps you should learn how to read.

BTW how much weed have you grown? You want to have a picture war bitch? My ladies will smash yours, my yield will smash you........my smallest outdoor plants average be 4lbs my biggest in the 10lb range, in fact Mon bet a branch off his smallest plant is bigger than your whole plant noob.

You talk to much mon.. I've had a perpetual every week for the last 3 yrs i average 2zips a plant with 720 watts of LED. I dnt take pics and comparing outdoor to indoor is laughable. On a side note watch ur mouth with that fag shit cuz u never know who ur talkin to u could get ur face smashed talkin like that.

Jbiz an internet warrior...lol pathetic.

If you thinking flushing is magic then its possible that youre the noob. What a shock to a plant to cut off its food at the end of its most vigorous flower growth. I do bring my EC down in progression until my last feed is fairly light but just dumping straight water in your plant for 2 weeks seems pretty silly to me. During the last 2/3 of flower you should be using minimal nitrogen in the first place so by harvest there should be very little nitrogen to try to flush out.

^^^----just as this man says!! Only thing I'd ad is for OP to research chlorophyll......... I'd never KILL/shock with straight water either, just wean the EC/ppm.

with organics its not really necessary, you can just lower the ppm like the guy in the speedo up there said. but with synthetics it has to be done, doesnt matter what the media is. i usually go 7-10 days, w/flora kleen. just add some and water normally, maybe even on the heavy side the first one or two times

Does it really matter? Find out for yourself, flush half your plants and leave the rest, then you'll know for sure what works with your strain, setup, system, environment etc.
