I've previously have grown in FoxFarm soil; however, to cut down on cost, I've decided to grow in coco coir for the first time. I brought General Hydroponics CocoTek via Amazon. After I re-hydrated the block, I tested the run off with my PPM meter, and I got a reading of approx 500 ppm (250 for my tap water, and another 250 from the CocoTek). My question is, what's a normal amount of PPMs for coco? Should I be should that 500ppms be Okay to start my seeds in?
