The cannabis cup? The one that is usually held up in Denver? If so im stoked cus i'm in Pueblo!! lol

They've been trying to do a lot of different cups/competitions over the last year or two. They held their own "cannabis cup" last year separate from Denver's.. Can't remember what they called it though.

The Adams county sheriff didn't want it in Denver.
Kudos to the mayor of Pueblo or whoever it was that picked up the phone to High Times and moved the event. Whoever made that call brought a lot of money to Pueblo. Pueblo is going to continue to grow off of this single event. It will now be on the map. Denver delegates dropped the bong.... and all the money that goes along with it.
Pueblo has been wanting to get in on the action... now it is. Congrats to Pueblo.

The smart dick move would have been to move it outside of Adams county but still in Denver. I am fine with Pueblo as it's closer and traffic isn't a bitch.

Yeah... it's... uh... going to be rough for those folks going to the cup AND to Red Rocks for the show! OOPS!

Think about how many venues will be affected. The events WILL eventually follow the cup, even greater loss to the Denver area. Some shows may be stuck in Denver this year but will be in Pueblo next year.

Think about this... when all those folks descend into Pueblo and see how CHEAP the real estate is... the flood gates will open and Pueblo will develop. In a few years it will be a different world down there. All those hemp farms will finally start to become more established as well. The tech industry that follows the cannabis industry (testing, extractions, etc) will be in high demand down there.

Agreed - this is also a WIN for the folks in CoSpgs and even for those on the Western Slope that can ride in via rt50.

Denver is still Dab City, though.

Maybe when people see all the money spent in Pueblo, El Paso county will start embracing these events. Pueblo is a lot closer than Denver for all the people driving up from Texas. Pueblo has nothing going for it at all except weed and they are really smart to allow it.

so bummed its gone and likely never to return. most likely the selling of weed by the out of state shops is what did it. but I am stoked for my brothers and sisters in southern Colorado to benefit from this awesome event. enjoy and don't fuck it up like Adams county/Denver did

Lol Pueblo has some things going for it... Like the weather, shits been warmer here than where my gparents live in FL half this winter + a shit load of sun... Weed is not one thing going for Pueblo IMO, at least as far as quality goes.. Although the dispensaries here seem to stay busy. I stopped by pueblo west organics to get edibles when I was sick a month back so i looked at their bud and was like WTFF!!! How do they sell this shit here?! I feel like that would be tough to sell even in places where it's illegal. Weather here is great for growing though!

But for Cannabis cup purposes i'm glad it's closer to you all, will be nice to save that extra drive time.. How far of a drive is it for you all?
