"Columbia Sweet" by VIP-Seeds

I ordered this strain because it was very inexpensive and the description seemed to fit the bill of what I was looking for: i.e. hi yield, short stature, and sweet fruity smell and taste. Had no expectations of keeping the strain, but as it turns out, I love this strain and will definitely be keeping one good mother around for a while. The smell and taste are pretty similar. I like that in a finished product. Especially when the smell and taste are as sweet as this. One smell of this stuff and it becomes abundantly clear why they named it what they did. Throughout the stages of growing I recall finding hints of bubblegum, lemon heads, and a more mild, different kind of citrus scent. The whole time smelling sweet, not skunky. This makes for a great indoor plant. The finished product does not seem to have as robust of a smell until it is ground up, but then you can really smell all of those things that I mentioned finding during the flowering process. I probably just messed up the curing process. I doubt this bud is lacking in terpene profiles at all. As far as yield I was impressed. I made 12 clones and started flowering them as soon as I saw roots. I yielded a total of just under 8.5 ounces of dried and cured buds. The description of the plants said it was a 9.5 week strain, but I let these go for about 11 and they still could have gone longer, which makes me wonder if it was an issue with environment or nutrients, because this plant is supposed to be 60% indica. My buds were not very dense, but they should have been. Again, I made some mistakes. I was actually impressed at how huge and chunky the buds were, however they did not get hard when they cured. In my experience this is caused by the grower, not the plant. I am very impressed with this strain despite the problems I caused. I look forward to flowering out a larger plant and doing it properly.

I will be reviewing more strains later. I will include pictures in the future. Sorry about the lack thereof in this post. I didn't really plan on doing this, so I didn't get pictures of the grow. I just decided to start because I realized this is probably one of the better places to find the real growers...
