Complete Fox Farm Lineup in Coir

OK I have the basic trio now, but I'm going to the hydro store and I'm thinking of buying the soluble trio as well as the new bushmaster stuff.

Should that all work out alright? The solubles make me a bit nervous because of salt build up, but I figure if I flush with that sledgehammer stuff I should be OK.

If I'm using their total lineup, do I still need to pick up calmag? None of those are coir specific so I'm not sure.

This is my first time in coir, I just want to make sure I'm not gonna kill it with my soil nutes. Thanks. I'm about 3 weeks in and not sold just yet, we'll see how it ends up after flowering...

I would say yes to the calmag in coir, I'd suggest pre-treating the coir with calmag before planting in it if possible, use the standard dose on the bottle and pour it threw your coir like you are watering your plant and the cal/mag will bond with the coir and should help out for a bit but you will still have to add it to your regiment, more so if you run RO water.

As far as the FF products in coir, you can use them and grow some fine bud more than likely but there are better products specifically for coir like botanicares CNS17 as well as a few others. Make sure to PH your nute solution and waterings to 5.8-6.0 or so (double check that, but its lower than soil, to early for the brain to be working yet). But I like the idea of coir myself and plan on switching to it in the near future. Recently I decided to throw a block of cocogro (botanicare coir) I had from a previous grow (never used) into my soil mix of FF ocean forest/light warrior/happy frog (bag/bag/bag) as well as some perlite and I am liking the results so far, I can see one got more coco than the others as the biggest pot of soil is needing to be watered every 2 days (5 gal. smart pot). But I plan to run the CNS17 line with RO water though. Also, dont buy the cheap coir, if you do make sure you flush the shit out of it with clean water until you get a ppm run off of less than 100 or whatever the water is you are pouring in. I know I sound like a botanicare fanboy but their coir is good as well as most hydro-shop brands ($$$) but the stuff is laced up with salt if you buy the cheaper shit, so just be aware of that.
