they're only about two feet. first grow, vegged for like a month and a half but i had the heat around 90 and i was ferting for every water for the first four weeks. Came out pretty crystaly though. cut a couple of top nugs off just a couple of minutes ago. most other nugs still have white hairs a little bit so it might be a few days till everything's done.

Half harvest. I'm guessing that's what I'm going to have to do with my big girls as well. One is about 4- 4 1/2 feet. I'm so excited.

Still saw a couple of those white hairs, definitely a sign that they need to still be growing a little more.

invest in a microscope and look at the trichomes. deciding when to harvest by looking at the hairs isnt exactly the most efficient way...

Agree - if you're going to harvest only when all white hairs are brown, you will have trouble with a lot of strains.
This is how i do without the scope:
When it's still too early, when holding the bud under the lights you'll see the trichomes "glitter" like small diamonds. This they only do when they are clear and not mature yet. When the trichomes are at peak potency the "glitter" will have stopped, and trichomes are just white without the "shine". It's really very easy to see - even without the microscope.
If you look only at the white hairs many sativa dominant plants will keep making white hairs - even when most trichomes are mature, so you need to pull before hairs are all brown.

thanks, my microscope finally came in the mail with my trimming clippers and looking at some regular bud and then mine growing i can see what you mean by glitter and not. once the lights turn back on I will check out the rest of the plants.
