Constant supply of CO2

Has anyone had any success with a vinegar/baking soda drip system? I got it to work for about an hour before the vinegar started to pool up on top of the baking soda. How long should the drip intervals be?

What's the best way to make one?

I think that the homemade c02 from yeast water and sugar works better and longer. I belive You should only be using c02 during the flower cycle too.
