Cool tube

I`m confused about cool tube systems.
I want to buy a 250 w cool tube system with HPS/MH for my next grow, but can`t realy understand, what to buy.
Some questions - are there any self balasted cool tubes?
Do I need two fans for cool tube - in and outtake?
Do I need a carbon filter for exhausted air from the cool tube?

Would appreciate some info on where to order cool tube kit`s.

Go to HTG supply. The cooltube is part of the hood/reflector. The ballst should be away from it. In remote ballast systems.

The cooltube hood will have a cooling flang in it. Probable 6" around. This is for you to clamp a in-line duct fan to. The CFM of the fan depends on how hat the bulb gets I guess. You will also need sme 6" ducting and other claps so that you can vent the hot air from around the bulb away from the grow

Oh. And no filter will be neccessary as your light will not make a smell. The cool tube uses one fan to constantly replace the air directly around the bulb. This is used to dramatically reduce heat allowing the light to be closer to that plants.

The output on your growroom exust. AKA the fan and ducting that changes the air in your room so your plants can breath, WILL need a smell filter if smell is an issue for you.

No problem man. I just figured out how to vent my room as well thanks to this site. Im just paying it forward. Good luck and you should start a journal of your grow. There are so many pros on this site that it is impossible not to learn as much as you could want.
