Cornfield Guerrilla Grow 2016

Hey guys.

I've posted a couple shots of my cornfield grows in the Open Show N Tell threads over the past few years and decided this would be the year I start my own thread.

After many years of success growing in the same fields thieves found many of our larger patches last season. It was a huge blow, but also a lesson learned.

I believe growing in the same patches year after year was our downfall. When viewing the fields using google earth I was able to clearly see my patches from a previous season. You couldn't make out what the plants were, but you could see the man mad cutouts in the field fairly easily (see attached image). I'm not certain this is how they were found, but it did make me aware of how easy they can be spotted from above.

Despite our problems in the cornfields last season it's where the majority of our plants will end up once again. We certainly won't use the same fields as last season and were going to limit the number of plants per field to 15-20.

This years strains are Pinapple Chunk and a GDP/TNT Kush cross I've been playing with for a few years.

Here's a couple shots from last year, these were among the many that were stolen. Included a screen shot to show you how easy these patches can be spotted using google earth.

I'll toss up a few pics of what I've got started late on this evening.

I know the owners of a couple of the fields, but they don't know were growing in there fields. Most of the fields around here are fairly large and for me the bigger the better. Fortunately the drunk farmers are all in bed by time I'm out in their fields. Plus, I'm in Canada and we don't shoot people here for trespassing.

Yes I've grown the PC both indoors and out. Outside it's a good producer and fairly mold resistant. Seems to do very well here in Ontario. I'll toss up a couple pics of what it looks like inside.

Won't that corn be ready before the Mj?
Not if its feed corn you let that dry out for a long time.
As BamaBoy said it's feed corn and most farmers don't harvest until at least late October.

How was the Green Crack outside? I did a few Purple Crack last year and the bud rot was brutal.

All the small seedlings are GDP/TNT Kush. The larger plant and clones are all Pinapple Chunk. Decided to play around with DWC on one of the GDP/Kush seedlings... hopefully it's a female.

I'm on for the ride. Good luck with your grow.

I'm afraid it wouldn't work for me though. The cornfields down here in NW Florida would be brown and dead long before any plants were finished.
The corn here is completely brown and crispy before the plants finish.

Unfortunately we wont be getting any plants into the fields until around the first of June. Farmers here always spray the fields for weeds and it kills a strong healthy plant within 24hrs.

I've got a couple other things going on that should keep this thread somewhat interesting.

So the fields are big enough the green doesn't show through. But from the air. . . . .

Fields are plenty big enough that the plants don't show through. As you can see from the pic in my first post it's fairly easy to spot the the rows of herb from above. As a solution to this problem we likely we pull as much corn this year, but we all know how much cannabis likes unobstructed sunlight.
