WOW! Great job, keep up the good work. Hey if you want to a have a little fun with it, take the money your earn from your outdoor grows and
show it to the farmer, ask him with all the equipment, fertilizers, and every thing else how much he made. Who knows maybe next year he
will invite you to grow on his farm. Now I say this in a kidding around fashion, I execpt that you grow for the fun of it, and medicine.:peace:

Subbed in. Good luck on your grow. I've grown a lot of pot in corn fields. I'm doing a few 15 gallon smart pots in a cornfield this year. It's shaping up to be a perfect year. The field I'll be putting my pots in hasn't been planted yet and next weekend will probably be the soonest it gets planted due to rain. I'll already have my plants going in the smart pots and will place them in the corn field when the corn gets to the right height...probably early to mid June. With the corn being planted later it probably won't be harvested until early to mid October giving my plants enough time to fully mature.

Welcome aboard guys.

Nice to have another grower with experience in the corn. I'm a bit confused as to why you would use smart pots in a corn field? My favourite part about growing in corn is the fertile soil that rarely (if ever) needs to be watered.

Sounds like our schedules are identical. Plant in early to mid June and harvest in mid to late October if the weather cooperates.

Because I like my plants being mobile for my particular situation. Plus a smart pot plant just does better. I'm not saying I won't do in the ground again in a corn field but it's unlikely. I just like to grow 15-20 plants as well. I'm only putting 5 in the corn field this year and 10 in a up pasture area. I love the mobility of a smart pot and using a better grade of soil than field dirt and a better overall yield for each plant. Plus I don't mind watering and tending to my plants.

Ya, I can see why you might choose smart pots when only growing 5 plants in the field. Good luck with your grow this year Middler.

We had a couple massive Pinapple Chunk mothers gifted to us, so we won't need to use the 4 much smaller mothers we planned on using. New plan is to cut all clones at once and root using the EZ Cloner and a larger version of the homemade cloner I showed in a previous post. I'll post a photo once the clones are in their new homes early next week.

I'd hate to leave you guys with nothing to look at....

The PC did great in a green house and had the least amount of bud rot. Large plants finished off nicely by early October while most of the others lagged behind. In my experience I've found it to be a great strain for a more northern climate, my primary interest in this strain is for outdoor growing.

I was thinking about this thread this morning as I was hand watering my corn patch. {It's much smaller than the ones the OP uses in his grows} My thought was that if you cut out 6 or 8 corn plants and put in 1 weed plant, then went down the row doing that, it would be much harder to spot. More work, but less chance of getting ripped or caught.

Good idea, but it would be far too much work planting just 1-2 plants per spot. We will likely continue to put 10+ plants in every spot, but were going deeper into the fields. Extra patches will be planted in case rippers do find a spot or two.

I'm thinking about putting a couple plants and a trail cam in the bigger patches I was ripped off for last year. The photos get sent directly to cell phone so even if the thief see's the cam I'll already have a shot of their thieving face/faces. I wouldn't be going after the people or anything like that, but i'd like to see if it's someone I know.

I love cams, saved my butt more than once I don't send to phone that can be traced, but that's what the law does around here
